For most tracks U-Turning is not that necessary to beat Tropy's, Oxide's and, heck, even Velo's times. These mf even loose their fire in every lap in some tracks like N.Gin Labs or Nina's Nightmare.

Don't worry, you'll get there! Just practise, keep on learning different ways to cut your corners ans keep your flame on. I still remember when I couldn't beat N. Tropy on most of the tracks and thought I would never get that far. Most of us have been there. But now I am here, trying to do these near world-record like developer times... Just keep practicing and watch this guy's videos, he makes a lot of great tutorials which even help me quite a lot, even when I thought I knew every basic thing about this game!

@@recruit7416 Also, stop being such a dickhead. If you really expect every new player to instatly be good at the game, I pity your thinking and attitude. Most of us have been there, when we've possibly been struggling at N. Tropy, then Oxide and so on. But everyone has the potential to practise and become better and better. So how about you just shove off and stop insulting the other players?

Don't feel too bad about the 400+ crash cove attempts man; It (and some other stages) is like 5 seconds away from the world record itself. The fact that you beat it at all solidifies the fact that you're a good player.

Cortex Castle is durable in Speed as long as you know how to U-Turn. However, U-Turning right and keeping your reserves is so much hard in Cortex Castle.

Haha we were all there. I suggest you have a basic knowledge of each track and shortcuts, and master the art of drift boost and maintaining sacred (not blue) fire. Also have basic understanding of u-turns and you'll be good! (Tiny Temple and Twighlight Tour you have to keep blue flame the entire way tho)

Turbo Track- Managed on Drift cause more reserves to keep up with the ghost. A pleasure to learn the U-Turn Technique there too but instead of D-Pad, I used the Stick with the down button relocated to the L3 Stick Button for easier all on one U-Turning Cortex Castle- Pulled off with Speed Engine cause learnt the racing lines without the use of U-Turning. Simply put, there are some ramps you can jump early instead of the very edge. A way to give the angle more precise too as well which gives the chance to keep reserves. That track was well easy with experience. Dragon Mines- I sometimes lost reserves but mostly it was due to the Minecart cause I used the Speed Engine. Reason is that I am just too fast that took me longer to finish it.

Going from being a drift main to a speed main idk why I never thought of going back to Drift to beat Papu's Pyramid... Looks so much easier to do that dang spiral! Just a quick update - yeah it's really easy with drift.. Thanks Viperian for the idea!

How do you make those turns on turbo track?? I tried with drift and u turning (as best as I can) and I'm not able to make it even with that

It's called "U-Turn". This tech allows you to slow down a bit while taking the sharpest turns without loosing speed nor reserves. It's more effective while airborne or hopping non stop, bc you don't slow down. To U-Turn, release the Gas/Accel button and hold down, Brake and steer to either left or right. Remember, you must hold Down and Brake and release Gas/Accel.

Does the grass kill reserves in Turbo Track? I'm trying to do what you do, but my reserves drain way too fast.

You really did 400 attempts for CC ? xD Edit : it is so weird, in your gameplay, we clearly see the ghost wins (he passes the finish line first) and the game gives you a win lol xD it's glitched

I can't pass skyway. Spiral is too hard for me, idk how u maintain u-turn and not hitting into wall/braking. I'm able do the last shorcut, but after then i lose fire on next lap at the spiral

I don't even know the name of the maneuver, but how in the world do you do the movement where your cart looks like it glitches and moves diagonally or "juke step" in a microsecond? For example, at 27:25 it looks like your cart does an invisible juke step back in mid air. Like what??

Dev Times aka SPEED CLASS TRAINING.

The key is tight pathing. Certain tracks you’d think are perfect like the William times, there are certain parts where he takes a turn wider than you’d expect. Out of Time comes to mind. Some are dumb giveaways like Tiny Arena, N.Gin Labs and Mystery Caves. Others are weird off road inconsistencies like Tiger Temple, Slide Coliseum and Megamix. Also RIP PS4 Players that essentially have to do Turbo Track TWICE.

Wow, this is insane. Anyway, thanks to you, Viperian, I found out about this Grand Prix being the last one and also thanks to you, I got the Champions Kart. I played CTR on Xbox but never reached the top 5 % of the players in Championship. Well I didn't play for some time, sold my old PS4 Pro and recently got a new PS4 Pro and bought CTR for it as well. At that time, it was 8 days left for the Grand Prix to end. I didn't pay to much attention to it, hoping that there would be another one. Then I discovered your channel because I needed help with some tracks and learning how to U-turn (not perfect, but getting better). Then I found a video where you said that this will be the last Grand Prix, so I opened the official website and found out, that this is indeed the last one and also the last chance to obtain the Champions Kart. So for about 6 days I played nothing else but CTR and climbed up the ladder and just 2 days before the end I was at the top 2 % of the players. I was so glad and happy that I got it. Thanks to you man :-) I am so glad I found your channel :-).

Well, it wouldn't have been your _last_ chance... beating all Oxide times will give you a decal and the kart if you didn't have it before. Me, I'm happy to have the complete set of decals, meaning the only things I'm missing, AT ALL, are post-GP goodies. Though at the rate Crash Cove is going, it'll be a LONG time before I get THAT TT set finished. Might never be able to happen at all!

@@ShadwSonic Right now I am in the process of beating N.Tropy on all tracks. I managed to beat Oxide on 1 so far - Crash Cove - I did beat Velo there as well after like 200+ attempts. I am not that good at the game yet. But yeah, I guess there is this option as well :-). Championship was easier for me :-)

I struggled a lot on that track, but now I’m using the d-pad in general and my gameplay has improved a lot, now I do a decent U-turn on turbo track. If you’re not using the d-pad I recommend you to give it a try

Chelo Pino i think majority of players use d-pad analog just feels weird. But yea I use d-pad always have since the first CTR. I’m actually going to try to practice doing the U Turn after I finish today’s daily challenges.

Gianni S well yeah except the fact that Beenox being asshats hit a reward behind this crap. Im beyond sick of doing time trials. I bet whoever came up with the stupid idea we needed dev times is some higher up who has no idea whatsoever how to play but decided “lemme just take the time of my employees who’ve played this game more than anyone else, seems fair” and now i’ve been trying crash cove for 2 hours on end. Im so beyond angry I cant even be angry

I wasn't taking my U-turns properly, finally pwned him today after almost half a day's worth of trying. I've uploaded the vid on my channel should you want to check it out :P

Did not manage to play remake, but it seems they spoiled physics. In original cart seems to feel much heavier and much harder to keep reserves. I would prefer old physics in remake, would be more hardcore.

This difficulty is too much even for me

@@TheViperian I've only been using the drift class with these trials. I've got just 6 left. I can confirm that this is possible to achieve. I may not have the fastest times out there, but beating the devs is good enough for me.

The fastest time on crash cove on ps4 in the world is 1:17:52. I think I'm not too sure
