I thought it was a great episode. I'm in the MR2 community and unfortunately, a lot of the rust and such came back on that car. Apparently it was scrapped a few years later. Then again, this episode was over 15 years ago. That car would be twice as old by now.

Car not been on the road since 2012 - Failed mot on excessive corrosion lol.

I love the way that even though Edd has a shop, most of what he does you can do at home.

Ok So Edd is a master mechanic but also does alloy refurb. This guy is truly the businesses.

500 quid for an mr2 in any condition is amazing

Love the bit about refinishing the wheels. It's funny they did a MR2 in the new Wheeler dealers, shows how different the new show is.

Still one of their best episodes to date.

Reid Keevers definitely in the top 5

Episode shown today 18/02/23 on Quest. It looks like this car survived until 10 September 2012. When it failed a MOT with lots of rust in the front.

WOW I remember this as yesterday. It was I eould say over 15 years ago. First time I saw someone restoring wheels. :)

Edd always does good job!!!

This was the episode that got my hooked on wheeler dealers.

Used to have one of these, great handling car, I recommend them

Great job on the MR2, Didn't it just sit rusting away on someones drive after all this hard work though. Had enough of all the Bring back Edd stuff though, The old shows were great and the new ones are great so keep it going.

We need all old series downloaded on this channel, but I insist they must be full episodes, not some 5min edits

How many hours of labor required?

This very car went to my mechanic (an MR2 specialist) years ago. Apparently it was absolutely rotten.

Bring back Ed China, Wheeler Dealers have lost their way, nothing against ANT, but one can easily tell who has a MASTER DEGREE in Automotive Engineering and it ain't the BUG!!!!

It'll never happen! Big fall out with the production company and Mike. Check out a newly posted vid of Edd answering questions in a barbershop. Read between the lines and he basically calls Mike "Deadweight" lol.

please tell me how to get the wheels a mirror finish they look amazing ! well done ed - and not mike you do nothing, and ed does everything, im glad ed got rid of mike lol , wheeler dealers is not wheeler dealers without ed anymore - its just not got 'IT' now

Get a polishing pad for it. Might be able to fit on a drill attachment.

I think the wheels would look better brushed personally

This cars MOT expired back in 2012 so is now probably scrapped. This is what it failed on: Reason(s) for failure Offside Registration plate lamp not working (1.1.C.1d) Nearside Front Body or chassis has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2) Offside Front Body or chassis has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings (6.1.B.2) Nearside Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (8.2.2) Offside Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (8.2.2) Horn not working (1.6.2a)

The episode is from 2004. So after 8 years of possible neglect this is the end result. I think they MOT tested the cars before selling them. Apart from the corrosion all the other MOT failures were misdemeanors.
