FOUR players at my local chess club run the Caro-Kann and your novel attack has been crushing them! Fun Fact: In his 2020 book The Caro-Kann Revisited, Italian GM Francesco Rambaldi says of the line 1.e4 c6 2.d5 d5 3.e5 c5 4.dxc5 e6 5.Qg4 h5 6.Qf4 Bxc5: "7.Nf3?! is imprecise, as Black can play 7._Qb6!N hitting the unprotected f2-pawn and forcing White to lose an important tempo defending it." (page 96). He completely misses your idea of not defending the pawn and keeping up the pressure. Thank you for the brilliant ideas!

I was learning some of those variations and I were always failing in some parts where I had no idea what to play after pretty natural black move. Thank you for lightening me this up. It's nice to see people explaining things this good and efficient. Maybe you'll make a study against Delayed Alapin? I never knew how to play against it and like I said you're explaining great.

Thank you for sharing your insights on this variation. Unfortunately the position at the 12:19 mark is bad for white as black equalizes after 18. Rad1 with d4!! as the tactics favor black. The best I could find is 19. Bf2 but then Qd5 is equal. I hate playing against this Botvinnik-Carls and want to see it crushed, but some improvement needs to be found for the line at the 12:19 mark. I think the culprit is 13. Qh5 which seems to fritter away most of white's advantage. Both Nd2 and 0-0 seem to keep a solid plus. Even 13. Qe2 seems bad so perhaps it's best not to commit the queen too early.

You won't believe me but this video is what makes me switch my french defence back to the caro kann. I thought 4.Nc6(which is the only fun way to play the advanced caro) is refuted with c3, but the fact that white NEEDS 1 hour of pure theory to get a PLAYABLE position is enough for me. Black also has so many good chances and white can go wrong and lose both pawns so many times.

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficialThat's what I like about your videos they don't rely on bad play by your opponent. There's plenty enough tricks on other channels but they spread fast and pretty soon they get shown up leaving the trickster dismayed and in a worse spot.
