    legend is great, but it seems like he sees the games in numbers. I can be super excited for a cool looking unique unit, and legend is like "trash. not efficient at all. 0/10"

    When razing settlements as woc you are essentially creating portals to the realms of chaos so it could work to make them act as semi garrisons, perhaps even allowing you to recruit some units at them. This beastmen implementation of no upkeep for units is also an obvious idea for woc

    Nevermind the next game... The Chaos Invasion includes a Warherd of Chaos, so even if the player can't do it the AI might be able to deny resettlement and actually get past Kislev.

    whenever I raze a settlement a random faction out of nowhere colonized it in the next 3 to 5 turns it was ridiculous. least I got the despoiler trait.

    My mate and my cousin literally only play Beastmen, I think there are far more than you think. I would love to play them as well but I'm taking so long to play all the other free races first.

    Same here! They've always been fun in battle but a chore in campaign. Now the campaign looks really fun, deep and thematically fitting. I cannot wait for this update and to rampage as Taurox across the world.

    I was suprised even more when he said Beastmen were stronger than Greenskins now, and i highly doubt it. Grom has Grom's Cauldron faction mechanic which gives good amount of buffs to your best units (like goblin archers). Thanks to Greenskins' building tree, when they expand enough they can literally recruit an entire army in a single turn. Greenskins can also use WAAAGH faction mechanic which literally doubles the amount of units you have in the game with no cost at all. Aaaaand on top of that if you are able to defeat WAAAGH target you get a permanent buff (lasts until other WAAGH reward) that depends on the faction you declared WAAAGH on.

    @@harryofrevachol3240 Just some problems with greenskins: Grom is the only greenskin faction with that powerfull a faction buff, cauldron isn't a greenskin mechanic so it doesn't do anything for the faction ranking (nukes don't change skaven ranking, just skryre). There are more factions that can 1turn armies (empire/dwarfs) and have actual economy to support that kind of thing (still a sweet ability tho). Waaghs aren't free, they temporarily reduce rep after you finish them and slow down your armies (can be reduced by meming lords into the waagh armies but still a thing). "Permament" buffs which can't stack are just a toggle effect where you can pick an active bonus, with the added downside that choosing/switching can be rather annoying. Also they are melee oriented so on high difficulty they are penalized greatly. Overal not the worst faction, but definitely not top tier.

    @@kirevkizrepnav572 First when you finish and actually be successful at your WAAAGH you are either in another war atm or you definitely need to declare another war ASAP, so that after WAAAGH debuff really counts for nothing. Second, WAAAGH only slows down your armies when they are gathering, meaning that when a WAAAGH army reaches its host army's unit size, that movement penalty gets removed, meaning that you practically recruit units while moving in an enemy territory (which no other faction has this kind of ability). Third, I was talking about WAAAGH success buff when i said permanent buff, and not all of them provide melee bonus. Some provide casualty replanishment rate buff, some give more ammunition to ranged units and buff their missile damage, and some even increase public order (not sure about the last one tho). I think i answered these questions good enough. I don't claim Broken Axe is better than Clan Skryre but i definitely don't think Beastmen are better than Greenskins even without choosing Broken Axe as a starting faction. Btw i want to repeat that not many faction can increase their Global Recruitment capacity as easy as Greenskins do.

    @@harryofrevachol3240 Well if the statement was that Beastman are similar rank as Skaven, than they are definitely better then Greenskins. Most important thing will be: How fast you can accumulate Dread....Compered to other Items, Bonuses etc. It doesn't seems to be that much expensive to hire Lords/Heroes at lvl. 40.

    @@colef2222 Pretty sure they have said it won't. It makes sense to not do it as launch as well. For one it lets them focus exclusively on getting it to work without having to finish the rest of the game at the same time, and it allows them to keep the hype going for longer

    I think a lot of people would like if the option to "buy\confederate" legendary lord even if they die was something shared among all races. I'm also pretty sure that a lot of the mechanics will also come back for the warrior of chaos in the future.

    would make sense, CA have treated a lot of those DLC like experience before adding the newly made mechanics back to other races. The tomb kings' crafting has been given to the dwarfs, Norsca's confederation given to orks, etc... It makes sense that they use this DLC as a test for the respond toward WH3

    There is a mod i use that does this, when a faction of your kind is destroyed you have the option of taking them on, delaying, moving them onto another faction of your kind or killing them. It made start of games much more relaxed than rushing heroes to sprint to locations before the lord dies

    @@chrisf7730 That's exactly how i feel and i think the game would just be better if it was in vanilla. I'm sure that very few people would complain if they had to spend a Huge amount of money to resurrect a legendary hero with the ability to freely respec their skill tree. I don't even think that's OP because this is not a competitive game, it's about having a good time.

    I really just want runic golems. Make them like treekin. They don't wreck units but they can't take a beating and don't get pushed through by monsters and cavalry like mkst dwarf units do. Be nice to have a front line that can prevent large units from getting to your back lines.

    Wow. They are like Tomb Kings on crack. No need to slowly build and defend a large empire, you just grow constantly and never lose anything. That is nuts. I bet they're going to be so fun to play now. I love the Dread mechanic to buy army caps you really want instead of the Tomb King way of just buying 1 of all the tier 5 and tier 4 buildings in every settlement. I'm excited, can't wait.

    This looks really fun, very well thought out and I can't wait to play it. I LOVE the Beastmen so much that I played them on the tabletop for a decade, and played through their campaign on TWW2 twice.

    I can definately see a couple of these mechanics translating to Warriors of Chaos as well. Particularly the Dread/Rewards system. Would really like for WoC to be more splintered, like most other factions. I've been sceptical of this DLC and update, but it's growing on me. Good to have the details explained. Cheers.

    Sounds like a fantastic update. Can't wait to play Beastmen again, everytime I tried in WH2 I quit within 10 minutes. Did they change the Army Stances? Used to be pretty annoying in that horde stance wasted turns.

    Big question: you say the generic lords lose all their buildings when they die, but what if you've leveled them up to 20 and gotten immortal? It's understandable them losing the builds before that as they're just dead, but with immortal, surely they would keep their horde builds wouldn't they?

    if i were to add anything to this update, I would add a buff for when you complete a blood ground. Like a 1 or 2 turn buff to movement for local armies. and a 1-2 turn buff to pop growth for the blood ritual site. would push the player to set up a new ritual as soon as possible. Call it a gore-slick buff or something. Other than that, i love this update.

    From what little I know of the Beastmen lore, the rework is more lore friendly for the mentality of the Beastmen, where there all about moving from one site of atrocity to another, reveling in the destruction. It's more like what would happen if the Orks had the cunning, knowledge, and fighting of the Wood Elves (but a bit less because Elves are supposed to be OP in most fantasy).

    The denial of resettlement is a great feature it would fit thematically if the chaos factions where the frontline of destruction and beastmen would then move in an build herdstones and pillage whats left after the ruinous powers have swept through. Kind of Naikai style.

    It's nice to see that Khazrak now starts with bestigors. It was odd how his old buffs were put towards bestigors and he didn't start out with any. When other lords did start with a target unit. Wulfhart gets Huntsmen Gromm gets a Pump Wagon Count Noctilus gets a Necrofex Colossus. It's a nice change.

    think this can also make the beastmen more dangerous as ai too. they will likely get a stack of weak chaff quickly, and if they survive long e nough replenish strong units quickly.

    Are Gorebulls the same as Doombulls? Cause I think i saw them in the trailer (some kind of gorebull fighting with his fists) that they were coming along with the other new units for beastmen in this DLC but I think i haven´t seen them yet (don´t have much idea of the lore itself)

    How will this update effect other hordes? Example: Warriors of Chaos. Will they get any of the new mechanics or are they remaining unchanged?

    Never played beastmen before this update but I got the dlc yesterday and started a campaign with Taurox. Dude is an absolute monster and I managed to take out malekith, grab the sword of khaine, and decimate the donut with it pretty quickly and easily. Taurox with the sword of khaine can easily be a one man doomstack I think. He can get an absurd charge bonus and hits enemy lords for most of their health in the initial charge. I've gone against full stacks of dark elves and high elves and the battles last only a minute or two until army losses is inflicted. Oh and being able to replenish movement and raze multiple settlements per turn is pretty fun. One of the strongest and most fun campaigns I've played so far.

    So the global bonus seems to be notable areas where you would feasibly fight as a beastmen lorewise. (That's why there isn't any in Tomb Kings areas because beastmen doesn't fight there)

    Really glad to see special herdstones for certain locations. This encourages to lorefully kill all Wood Elves and i like it

    I hope they do the whole legendary lord recruit mechanic with the Tomb Kings, they already have a alternative resource and they can maybe based that cost on how powerful that specific faction is you want to buy or be required to have higher strength ranking than them (so you don't just suddenly buy up a strength ranking 3+ faction and take over their empire with enough jars)

    Or the faction of the legendary lord needs to be destroyed and then you raise them with the jars Which would make more sense since it's like subjugating/resurrecting the fallen legendary lord

    What an amazing thing for the legendary lords for confederation. They need to do this for all the factions in some capacity. Maybe not necessarily all races like the high elves(which diplomacy is kind of the point), green skins or tomb kings(who have other means of confederation), but would be an incredible add on for any campaign

    How the mark of ruination award function when you do a ritual of destruction, do you earn more if every settlement in the bloodbath is ruin or you more point if you destro the settlement after or do you only win the point of the settlement you pit your herdstone

    Thanks for the video, very good job! I still have an issue. I am currently playing a free for all multiplayer campaign as grombrindal and am facing a friend playing Taurox. Its now been several turns that he is invinsible around me. Is there a mechanism to engage him? I feel that the only way to fight him is to get ambushed (wich kinda suck for me...)

    Oh wow, looks like the Beastmen got the Skaven level of attention in this DLC, I hope the Lizardmen won't get screwed over because of it - again (see Prophet vs Warlock DLC). Regardless, it'll be nice to killmaimburn through the second half of July and possibly beyond.
