My friends, tonight I'm bringing you the longest video I've done to date, packed with diorama techniques. From cutting and laminating an oval base to pouring an epoxy resin river!

That IS-2 from the picture at the beginning belonged to the Polish 4th Heavy Tank Regiment, and our local tank museum decided to give their own IS-2 this particular turret number (4241 with the last number barely visible). It's in running condition, and when they were still holding reenactements at the old museum square, they even hanged the milk churn on the turret.

Always great to hear the “mah friends” at the start
The tank is fantastic enough, but the setting itself (especially the tree trunk bridge) is perfection!

*This is just incredible. Absolutely beautiful.*
The evolution of this channel is crazy, I can remember when not that long ago Night Shift was afraid of adding stowage, now he's got a full blown diorama! Keep up the good work.
I am a Japan person. I don't understand English, but I could tell that your work is very wonderful!!
6:19 I love how saying "using real earth from my garden" almost sounds like a legit product and brand name.

It took me a while to realize that he was genuinely just talking about soil from his yard.
You know I don’t like this diorama… I freaking love it! Now all we need is a panzer of the lake diorama lol.

That one will be in the works very soon :)))
That is mental. I couldnt believe he painted it black, it looked great. But then he started painting, holy moly that is enough work to make me tired for you watching
Driver: “Comrade, do you see the bridge?” Commander: “Yes…no more questions.” This looks pretty cool! I really like the overgrown brick wall, it adds a nice bit of warm color. Great job!
Wow, this bridge made of real branches and then the painting with different wood colors. Unbelievable, every week a highlight.Thank you Martin for letting us be part of it
13:26 Love the radioactive sound effect. "comrade soldier, you are finished!"
Thank you , Uncle Martin . Nice . 🐺
I winced when you sprayed the black primer on those very realistic looking logs!!!
I just want you to know... -This hobby takes a lot of insight and that's really impressive -You can create something out of nothing, and that's what creative arts are all about, and I really respect that -You're a funny guy, and I could do with a good laugh -I extremely appreciate the Metro reference, one of my first Slavic games
i used to build model kits as a kid and i thought i was pretty good. but you folks these days are on a whole nother level.. its way more sculpture than assembly props!
How funny and wholesome is the fact that 2 years ago Uncle Nightshift was just flirting with dioramas and now he is hooked. I await the video where there isn't a model, ONLY a setting. Dioramas are fun to do, and economical as well. While more expensive tools make the work easier you don't need the fancy stuff to produce a pretty good diorama, even if you only have some basic brushes, basic superglue from the supermarket, lots of plaster, the cheapest paints and TRASH!!! Plastic and metal trash can be a godsend! The father of a friend of mine is a veteran modeler, won contests and such. He once built a biplane model from scratch for the local airport; an exact replica of one of the biplanes based there. He used empty sour crème cups, cut them up, straightened them with steam and cut them to shape. He build the cockpit, the engine, everything out of plastic garbage and the cheaper, 2 component plasticine-like epoxy. Took him like a week or two. The airport has been rebuilt since but as far as I know it is still displayed there. Scratch-builds and dioramas are fun to do because there is NO END to your own autonomy. Takes a lot more effort, time, work, but you'll end up making your best works like this.

Thanks for showing an alternative to punch&die tool, you make us minimum wage hobbyists happy :)
Instant classic! Clearly one of the coolest dioramas ever! Totally love it!
Nice metro reference at 13:31 you have there! Model looks hella fine, I'm in love with the marks you've painted, the texture you've built on the model is awesome and the overall diorama being based on real footage is even nicer! Overall great job!

Another brilliant dio, Uncle...........
I love the way you say "Corduroy Bridge" and this is actually my first time hearing that term, though it totally makes sense.
This is Fabulous! Especially that water! You remind me of Shep Paine! The American oldies here will know who I mean!!!
What a fantastic job! The IS2 cries out for rough texture. You have a true gift in your abilities. Thanks so much for making this historical scene come to life.
i have to say i use a lot of ur videos as advices and new techniques ( and thank you for that) and 3days ago i bought a sheet of cork to do the exact same effect and im so glad you did it too because it means im getting better at imagining and being creative! thank you
I like your little "chapter" breaks (bricks, bridge, concrete..etc). Nicely breaks a long process and video into organized chunks.
Absolutely love the cork and your method of making realistic cracks, something new for me, thankyou!!
you've probably already selected your next model and starting building it with a diorama in mind, but i think you should build some sort of winter diorama next. you've made a lot of dioramas with a relatively similar colour palette of muted greens, browns, and grays, and it would probably be a refreshing change for both us viewers and you as the modeller. and based on the videos on your channel, you've never done a winter diorama so i think it might be a fun challenge for you as well. just a suggestion though.
WOW! Your rivet making method is just so effective - like all of your methods... just WOW!
Klobouk dolů, to je veliká paráda. Radost se dívat a poslouchat.
For anyone interested in real corduroy trench filling, we used bundles of logs tied into rounds and put on the backs of flatbed or tipper trucks. We did this because it was easier to roll them off the trucks into ditches without man-handling lots of individual logs. It also made them easier to move around with our rough-terrain fork-lifts. Once the top row was in place you only had to cut the top strings and spread them out level.
Dude - you are super-talented and the river is fine. Don't go OCD.
The man says he ruined the water, but I think its perfect. Amazing work my friend, you are inspirational
I love those birch trees you added, they really make it pop. A lovely thing.
Mate that’s awesome! Very cool. I’ve put so many branches in my green bin recently - I feel ashamed of myself! Save everything!!!
Tank is a masterpiece and the overall diorama setting is magnificent! As always tons of motivation and the result is simply incredible. Thank you 👍👍
As I always tell you, I congratulate you for your work, but I thank you much more for explaining it and showing it
DUDE ‼️‼️ THIS IS INCREDIBLE 😱😱😱😱You Just RAISED THE BAR On Yourself,,,, AGAIN 😜🤪😜🤪‼️ That's IT ,,,,, GBA 👍👍 Gary.
Haha that Metro reference was brilliant.
when modelling is not any more modelling but art ! what a master piece ! congratulations !
I loved your tank videos. Now that you're doing dioramas as well I'm truly blown away by your skill.
Another masterclass, what a treat. Love your work, not just your awesome models, your video production skills are also second to none.
Yeah! New diorama by Night Shift! Awesome!
Love that little Metro easter egg with watch and mask :D
The black primer worked very well especially on the rusty bridge parts. Great work!
So happy to see you posted and with a nearly 40 minute long video it makes it ten times better!

This is probably my 10th time watching this, and I have to say, this is hands down my favorite diorama, I’ve ever seen…ever.
Really nicely done. The trick with the road wheels and track is excellent and looks proper. Looking forward to your next one.

I gotta say. Another amazing diorama
I’ve dropped out of model making for the last 18 months due to COVID turmoil. This work has inspired me to start up again. Outstanding work, Uncle!
Another night shift video today's gonna be a good day
Absolutely top notch build from start to finish! 👏👏👏👏👏
WOW. Masterclass. Looks wonderful
I really like the shape of this diorama! I’ll for sure have to try something shaped like this for a future diorama. This video was 100% worth the wait!
AWESOME !!!! The tank itself was great, now adding in that bridge & landscaping, just makes it a MASTERPIECE ! If you ever want to make room in your studio for more dioramas, I'll happily display it at my house.....
I love these longer videos! You have inspired me to start modeling and have already secured a couple builds under my belt! Currently working on a Mk IV WWI tank in 1/35 scale. Thank you Night shift!
Wouldn't be Friday without a video from Uncle! Sweet build, brother!
Superb! You best work yet in my opinion. The tank alone is amazing but the, well conceived and well built, diorama just makes it even better. Well done.
Wow! That was epic- in scope and length. Well worth watching as that diorama looks marvelous and enjoyed seeing how you accomplished it.
This is already a work of art. It shows us a wonderful scene work. The textures and painting techniques have already reached a realm that can only be reached with a talent for painting. I envy your talent!
Probably your greatest work so far. Truly inspiring mate.
Simply an amazing work of art. I salute you Sir. I am now binge watching all your videos. Thank you.

That is incredible. Thank you for sharing your process! I look forward to trying out some of your techniques on the bases for my warhammer models.
You keep surpassing yourself. Wonderful job!
Very cool!!! And even based on a nice historical photo! Great work!
Amazing as always! I love the idea of the oval base.

Superb job yet again 😎😎😎👍👍 you make it look so easy . I didn’t find the video too long as you showed off different parts of the diorama
Excellent video & diorama from the man, Night Shift.. awesome work
Great diorama - creative and beautifully staged. Thanks, uncle.
The Hammer Modelcomrade.. Looks very good 😉👍a intresting scene..
I can't tell if your videos are encouraging me to jump back into modeling or if I just want to call it quits! LOL! I jest. Martin your work is spectacular and this 58 year old American is getting back into a hobby I put down 40 years ago! Thank you for showing me why I always love the hobby and the history that inspired it to begin with. Your work is not only stunning but the story your dioramas tell is captivating. I only hope to become a fraction as good as you are. Hey, a guy can dream. Bravo!
I was not expecting the Metro gag. Made me giggle. Great work as always!
Longer videos are ok! Amazing work as always! Thank you 😊
