The trimmer attachment came apart on me trying to fit things on. The parts went back together easily and actually seem to be intended to come apart, probably for cleaning. There are no clear instructions, including the pictured instructions, about accessing the battery at all. I came right here to figure out how to put the battery in. Thank you for this video !!

thanks for the review. I prefer the alkaline battery powered models instead of the lithium powered rechargeable batteries (for a number of reasons). I just ordered the Groomsman (I have a bunch of trimmers with different heads, roatery, linear, etc.). What I like abou this model is it is thicker head then a standard micro trimmer, good for the top of the ears like you demonstrated. I didnt even notice hair in that part until a few years ago, thick hair on top of ears, really annoying to remove for all other shavers/trimmers I have, even the Phillips Oneblade doesn't work in some areas.

Just bought this for trimming my mustache, only mustache i really love is a Pencil so i need precision!! Tried it and I love it! This is the size all trimmers should have! Like a pencil! Perfect, my mustache has never been this precise and what a motor on that little stick!! Glad I was careful cause those blades goes FAST

As it looks, the Multigroom 3000 has a lot more power. I'd say you can save a bit more and get yourself a Multigroom 3000 which is also much more versatile.

Hi, BlaZe iT. Thank you for your comments. Yes, the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 definitely has more power than the Wahl Micro GroomsMan. However, I view these products in two different categories. The Multigroom 3000 is a larger device that takes an 8hr plug-in charge for 1hr use and is meant for beard and hair trimming, in addition to nose and ears. It also has 13 pieces, including a bag full of attachments that would be clunky on the go. The Wahl Micro GroomsMan, on the other hand, is a pen-sized profile trimmer meant for ear, nose and eyebrows. It requires no charging, as it takes a AAA battery, and is a convenient little product for quick touch ups here and there. In this review, I pushed the use of this Wahl trimmer beyond its intended purpose to see the most we could get out of it by trimming up my beard to show that this device really can cut. The small profile of this trimmer allows for it to be taken on the go in a pocket, purse, or car and if your in a tight spot and need to whip something out quickly, this Wahl trimmer makes sense. But if you're using it as a primary cutting device that never leaves the bathroom, then yes, the Multigroom 3000 is a better option. Good video and helpful with the battery installation but mine may have been a dud. Worked for less than a minute before stopping. No matter how I reinstalled and fidgeted with the battery. Very poor quality parts. Looks and feels like something I would win by throwing bean bags at a carnival. Not even gonna try to make it work any more.

Many customer reviews say that wahl trimmers are low built quality, and the battery often stops charging after several months of use. Although I dont know how will it go with this model.

Hi, Joby. The Wahl Micro GroomsMan and Multigroom 7000 eyebrow attachments both worked for me. I can't say these are the best for the eyebrows, but they're what I've tested recently. As your eyebrows are patchy after you trim, you might want to see if you can trim at a longer length, as you may be over-trimming without even knowing. With eyebrows, it's important you have enough length where hairs can overlap and build density, thus avoiding patchy spots. Thanks for watching! All the best!

For a greater focus on the hair, as well as the beard, check out the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus seen here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pHaO1a-seZDKmrw.html . Both trimmers are great products and I recommend both. Overall, I think the Wahl 9818 wins on the hair front, as far as being able to create those fades and clean haircuts. It comes with more hair guard attachments in closer increments than the Multigroom 7000 and is the brand preferred by barbers. For beard and body trimming, however, I give the edge to the Multigroom 7000. If you are looking for trimmers that are a bit smaller, or made for trimming that short stubble, try checking out my Part 2 video of the Philips Norelco OneBlade seen here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nnd22aqcht3RqrQ.html and also the Gillette Fusion Proglide Styler seen here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iH2txtpugKvKk7Q.html . I'll pick the multigroom7000, it's foil shaver cuts a little closer to the skin than the Wahl, and many reviews note wahls poor build quality and charging issues. The other trimmer you've mentioned are less versatile and overall the mg7000 is the best choice for me. Thanks again for the advice, have a nice day.

Paul- what beard trimmer do you recommend for people who want to keep a thicker beard but want the thickness of their beard to still look uniform? I currently use the Philips Norelco 7200 with the hair vacuum and think it's awful. Terrible under the nose when trimming the mustache, the vacuum is subpar and the trim is uneven. Any and all feedback would be much appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Unlike the 7200, this unit comes with 23 pieces with varying precision elements for creating that crisp, uniform look and depending on the size of your beard, you can interchange the beard and hair guards to trim at longer lengths. Hi Paul, Bought the Phillips MG 7710 12 in 1 today after following couple of good reviews online ... However the in hand feel is very plasticki... Would MG5730 have been a better option..or should stay with tje purchase.. bit confused now... I generally use trimmers for beards only... Look forward for your recommendation Thanks from UK

Hi, Prakash. If you haven't already, I recommend you take a look at my review for the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000, MG7750 seen here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l3qikrWiYaXTqcY.html. This trimmers frame is made of stainless steel and has a no-slip rubber grip. I have not seen the other models you mentioned here in the US and can not confirm if the MG5730 would be a better option for you. I would suggest, however, checking into whether you have a similar model to the MG7750, as this is one of the better beard trimmers I have tested to-date.
