Doug I remember when you were a bushcrafter that took up whittling. Then you grew to become a really good wood carver and exceptional instructor and mentor, but my friend your abilities are such that now you are a true artist and a master at your craft. Thanks for sharing another amazing project.

Still miss the bushcraft. Not too fond of these larger carvings either. But that's just me.

@@dougLinker I wasn't trying to be snarky, but o.k., I guess we do. I've been a loyal subscriber for over 2 years, and have watched every video you've made and most of them twice. You are the one who was rude and snarky. I was simply expressing my opinion which was I prefer the smaller carvings. So you've lost a good subscriber.

@@ireneburke1732 wow, very unnecessary of you. You might want to reflect on your emotions awhile.
impressive self-portrait
It is such a pleasure watching you carve with just the sounds of the tools working the wood !!! Thanks for an inspiring video Doug 😊
Title it woodcarving asmr and get millions of views. Looks incredible!
I've heard that self-portrait is the hardest thing to do, awesome work Doug
Doug, its such a cathartic experience after a day at the office watching that fella slowly emerge out of the bark like that. The lack of commentary on these 'silent' sessions only adds to the experience. 😎
I learn something new each time I watch you at work. Always a joy to watch you carving.
The only thing more relaxing than watching you carve is carving myself so thank you for enabling both my friend .
Very nice carving! Never saw a chisel so big!!!

Really enjoying your silent series, Doug, especially with the use of bark. Miss the humor, but nothing like variety! Thanks

As a lifelong carpenter and nearing retirement I’ve always wanted to one day take up wood carving as a hobby but running my own business the time was never there. I think I’ve found the inspiration I needed watching this video.

Fan-Fkn-Tastic mate..... discovered you 2 days ago and have been binge watching your stuff with a slack jaw.... the more I watch, the more I learn....thank you my friend.
My only complaint about your work Doug is that you make it look so easy that I have to try it myself only I have none of the artistic ability you do!!
Thank you , Mr Doug .

I am aware that every slice, every cut requires a decision to be made. You can cut a piece off but you can't put it back . . . respect!
Simply amazing work! Thank you for sharing.
Sir thank you for having an interest in carving. You have influenced me and now I follow a few. I just got through carving some prayer hands for my wife. No template all free hand. They turned out pretty good too.

Your talent unmatched!
Love your work, your ideas, your vids and your style. Glad to see you like my cotton wood bark. (I’ve claimed it as mine and now use it almost always. However, I can’t do your quality )good job👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very nice job looking very good!!!👍👌💯
You are a very talented individual. Keep up the great work. I wish I could even know where to start . You have a great vision. Awesome work as always
That beginning part is pretty slick!
I just started watching your videos. Man you make it look so easy. I'll admit my first few craft looked like aliens. I appreciate your hard work into making these wonderful crafts. My goal is to create a cool face on a walking stick one day. Merry Christmas bud.
Thank you. Great carve🙏
Enjoy all your carvings! Also enjoy your bush-craft trips as well! I'm a newbie carver. I carved along with you on "The most fantastically simple carving ever and I did pretty good. I tried carving along with the Scarecrow and broke the brim of the hat. Not just once, but twice. Guess I use too much force. Your knife seems to just flow through the wood. I'll keep trying for sure. Thanks for your videos, you do a great job! Dan
Thanks for sharing!!
This is a great video! I must of watched it 15 times. I use both conventional and rotary tools for my carvings.
Just subbed in the first minute of the vid.... purely for your tool work with that big chisel... sure its going to be a banger of a vid😁 so hello from your newest sub😜👌🤙
Really Amazing, Doug. But we miss hearing you. 😂thank you
Hi Doug it seems you carved yourself very nice work .
Epic video. Mind Blown. So cool!
Love your work well done
Beautiful!
Great work brother
I think the thumbs down people are just jealous of the Pfeil tools, or maybe they are in a Two Cherries gang?

No it’s immediate -they are subbed just for that purpose lol
Doug. Those tools are monstrous. Like an Alligator chewing through a Banana.
Doug you just get better and better.Great job on that one ! Hope your calling him Doug 😉
Nice one Doug.
You deserve millions of views for your talent
Love it!
