National Park "Onega Pomorie" continues our project "Protected territories of the North". It was founded in 2013 and since 2016 has been under common management with the Kenozersky National Park clck.ru/34RAys Thus, the key specialists of both parks can use the experience of Kenozero in Onega Pomorie and explore the contrast between the two ecological systems and two different cultures: the lake, closed south and the north of the Arkhangelsk region, open to all sea winds.
"Onega Pomorye" protects the old-growth northern taiga, the littoral (the part of the coast flooded by the tide), the coastal zone of the sea and the traditional way of life of the Pomors.
