I have tears in my eyes. I will take animals over humans every time. The thumbs down are clearly not animal lovers.

When he was in that pool looking at the sky and all around him, that's when the tears came. You guys ROCK! KEEP IT UP TEAM!!

There are tens of thousands of people with mental illness who are locked up like this in many countries...we are cruel to our own species also. You could feel his sheer delight on leaping into the pool. I felt happy with him! 😊

It amazes me how cruel people can be to animals. We just don’t deserve them. I’m so happy for Rocco and hopes he has a long life enjoying his new freedom.

Brown bears live on average 35 years so Rocco has almost 30 years of freedom ahead of him if all goes well. May God bless him with a long and happy life. Hopefully he'll meet a mate there at Barenwald and have cubs.

I was able to not cry until about 5 seconds after he got in the water. You can see in his face that he doesn’t understand how something good could happen to him. I’m sure he was crying too. 😢

When he walked into his new home and took his first look around you can literally feel his joy,disbelief.

Rocco can't believe his eyes ... he is overwhelmed .... thank you, dear angels .. for saving this sweetheart 🥰

I had the same feeling, especially when he partly gets out and looks around, it's almost as if disbelief, then he realizes it is and at that moment, he was the happiest bear on this planet.

Breaks my heart, he is smiling and so so happy , God Bless him and all you wonderful people.

I live in Albania and I've meet him before and I used to feel bad for him. When I learned that someone took him i thought he went to a zoo. Seeing this now makes me so happy :D

Hunting with dogs (galagos) and then shooting them when the hunting season is over because they are useless. How about aristocratic Brits hunting and killing foxes because it's a gentleman's sport? Dog racing is a "great" activity as well, perhaps you should read up on what happens to the greyhounds there. How about all those horses slaughtered in Italy because they like horse meat? Wanna see some videos? It's not the region of the world, no. It's hypocritical to say that. It's nice that the Germans are saving bears, too bad they also illegally killed a European bison that strayed too far and crossed their border because they didn't want to bother with catching it. A protected species, miraculously saved from extinction. Every nation on Earth has done some dark deeds so don't divide them into the savages and the civilised.

@@mikshinee87the Middle East where I come from is even worse. Stray dogs injected with poison. Guard dogs have their ears and tails trimmed as puppies and chained in the dark so they’d become feral. I personally saw a dog tied to a tree where a hose constantly spewed water on it. People all over the world are disgusting. 😞

Makes me cry, I hope Rocco has the time of his life everyday .

This is not the end, this is the beginning. There are lots of Roccos out there.

If I could go back in my life, I would love to be involved in rescues such as this. It makes my heart so happy to see the bear leap in the water, he was enjoying it sooo much. Water is very healing. Thank you ALL for helping get him to safety, and a free, healthy, peaceful life.

I am not physically able to do rescue work. (Old crock) I do however donate monthly to Four Paws International because this is the type of work they do. They have a big cat sanctuary here in South Africa and I saw a video a while back were a lion was rescued with the help of the Born Free Foundation. That is another group one could support to help these abused animals.

It brings tears to the eyes. Just watching him taking in his new world and not quite believing his sudden freedom. Poor old thing! How do people do that to living creatures.

@@PresentMoment111 No he dont, because its the lifecycle even animals eat some kind of meat. There is a lot of nutrition in meat. That it is nutritious means that it has a high content of nutrients that the body needs, such as protein, iron, vitamin B12, zinc and selenium.

@@lllIIllIIllllII Wrong....just no. Humans have not evolved to eat meat, it gives us cancer, and heart disease. B12 is artificially added to meat, it doesnt actually contain it. We have zero need to eat animals, but omnivores and carnivores do. Therefore, we shouldn't be farming them. It also destroys the planet. Besides, plant foods are waaay more nutrient dense.

I know. I can't imagine robbing him of 8 long years. It doesn't seem to have caused any mental derangement,, thank God. Animals don't deserve the things humans do to them, yet, much like some dogs and cats, they are able to forget. It's sad, he must have been so bored and worse, lonely! I'm hoping he'll be well cared for now for the rest of his life. And they find him a friend.

Can you imagine feeling grass under your paws and a pool of water for the very first time? He'll never have to lick bars again! God bless his rescuers.

Awww you can actually see the bear smile. I thought he might be hesitant or something but he just walked around like "I've been waiting my entire life for this moment". I'm so happy for him!

After all those years in a cage, that enclosure must have made him feel like he had a whole country to himself.

It's a bigger Cage. But he has grass and can enjoy the sun. And even a swimming pool... I don't think that he would survive in the wilderness anymore. He will have a good life now.

God put us here to be good stewards of this planet, and the things on it...We have done a poor, if not failed at th I task. It's great to see that some still have that inner sense, and not just for the paycheck. From a lone person across the big water, thank you to you, and others just like you, and to the individuals who do it on their own. A big thank you, and a big bear hug, a fox hug, a dog hug, a cat hug, oh well, big hugs all around. Thank you.

I wanted more video of Rocco exploring his new home. It was heart-warming to see.

This video made me cry. 😢 You could see how happy Rocco was in the new natural environment. He looked like he was smiling. He really enjoyed that pool too. Must have been a real treat. Thanks rescuers for giving him a better life.

Omg this is so heartbreaking and heartwarming. He was in a prison for 8 years and then wonderful humans came along and his whole world changed. He looks so happy. Enjoy the best life Rocco.

But first he had to endure an even smaller cage in the back of a moving vehicle, and I know it was only a couple of days, but can you imagine how terrifying it must have been for those couple of days? Poor thing...but he’s happy now ❤️

Almost? Know what you mean. So happy to see him enjoying being a bear. Maybe he was wondering if friends and family were around, hoping for mom to be there, or a big bear hug from Dad. Anyway, happy he can be more where he can belong.

That caused one of the most spontaneous emotional outbursts of my life, when I saw Rocco prance through the grass... mahalo mahalo mahalo

This is one of the most beautiful videos on KZread. The wonder on the bear's face is deeply moving. Bravo to the rescuers! I could watch this every day. This is what we're supposed to do on this earth, for both animals and people. We're supposed to take care of each other.

OMG... the expression on his face!!! It was heartbreaking and thrilling to watch him try to take it all in and being amazed by it all. Poor Rocco. He must have thought he was dreaming. May he enjoy the rest of his days there.

You can hear his thoughts: "is it real, is this real?". God love you for setting him free to do as nature would have him be.

Can you read his face as he looked around his new environment? Is this Heaven? Must be. Glorious!

Roro Mil U right, enclosed but not caged, w/plenty room to roam around + 2b well taken care of. After being caged 8 years, he wouldn’t survive in the wilderness, as he most likely lost ability to hunt and fight other bears.

That's awsome! When I see gorillas and apes also in cages their expressions are so human. Like, "Why am I in jail?" "What did I do?"

Yea, I saw that too. It reminds me of when I get a new betta fish(they only live few yrs) taking th poor thing from a fishbowl 4 inches across t a five gallon tank w plants and filtration. They always look around like they can't believe it, just like th bear did.

That sweet bear always knew where he belonged. You can tell he feels like home. Thank you to any person who helps animals in any way you are able. They need us out there! ❤

Awwww...did you see the happiness?? The way he looked at the sky and everywhere else?? and that plunge to the pool!! My heart broke into thousands pieces from sadness and happiness at the same time! THANK YOU for his rescue!! and a beautiful video documenting it! xoxoxoxox......

the cruelty that some humans put some animals through is just unimaginable.

It's heartbreaking to see animals mistreated by being in such a small space. I hope he has a long & happy rest of life.

I think that's exactly what his face says actually ^^ it looks like he had forgotten he could bath

God bless his rescuers. You can see the wonder and excitement on him as he explores his new area and looks up at the sky.

I agree and some even eat animals and some even cage humans. Americans even hunt and kill these animals for sport and some even hunt and kill humans.

I agree, but like some people, you can't turn your back on them, but with animals if that happens it was a natural intention. No ma!ice involved. When people do it, it shows a deep rooted evil that can be suppressed by a concience that is mindfull of other people's feelings and stops it dead.

I’m literally in tears, wondering what it feels like to be free.

My heart just leapt with joy and I almost cried as he was experiencing his new habitat !!! The despicable individual(s) that kept him in that terrible cage deserve(s) the same. 10x as long !!

Watching him look around...checking freedom out...brought me to tears. Earth angels

The feeling of joy I feel when these animals are rescued is overwhelming. This is an evil world and there are a few Angel's running around pretending to be humans, you just watched some in action!

Brought tears to my heart and joy to see Rocco having more Freedom!

Whoever saved that bear... I can honestly say that I love you. You too Rocco! I hope the rest of your time here is as it should be!
