Have a AR with a 20 inch BCA Grendel on it. Sighted in at sub moa 50 yards for a 200 yard dead hold using Hornady Black ELD match factory ammo. With that ammo opening week for TN gun season, got two deer and a coyote. Both deer were at 175 yard and coyote at 30 yards. That ammo is accurate and deadly in my setup even though it is a match bullet. Thanks for the video.

Friendly suggestion - Trigger follow-through. When you squeeze the trigger, keep it fully depressed through the entire recoil cycle. An easy check on this is when you release the trigger you should hear the trigger reset occur. Not as huge of an issue when shooting off a sled but will definitely affect accuracy from less stable positions.

Absolutely. Something I've struggled with. I'm not a fan of the sleds lol. Thank you for the input. Much appreciated

I try to keep it to these 5 but I could probably do a video with at least a few cheaper options 😁.

I gave up on finding Grandel ammo and handload 129 &130gr. boat tail bullets over accurate arms 2520 powder. I ditched the muzzle brake and put on a sound forward, compensator. at 100 yards my groups shrank to three-quarter inch. just a note if you’re a hand loader.

I've been struggling with Hornady black getting 3 inch groups at best. 4 inch or worse with Wolf 90 gr. I will have to try the Anderson if I can find any. 6.5 Grendel is hard to come by these days.

My favorite load for my 6.5 grendel is Federal 90 grain tnt ,but man is it hard to find.

Late to the party, but I have the same issue with chevon reticles like the many variants of the ACSS. I love the range finding, wind holdoffs and BDC holdovers the incorporate. But, for activities that require repeatable precision, like shooting groups, I have trouble using them. I know it's a personal thing with how I deal with a more "floating" aiming point versus one with crosshairs to help guide and reinforce my aiming.

I put the VG6 6.5 brake on a 18 heavy barrel improved nicely. After watching different video’s and reading comments i think its the bca break

I have an AR with a 20 inch barrel and switched my birdcage muzzle brake for a sound forward compensator. It shrank my groups down to 3/4 inch at 100 yards.

Maybe you explained this in the past but how do you explain the deviation in grouping between manufacturers? What does one mfg do to improve their consistency over the others?

I can tell you that , Alexander made the 65 Grendel so its a sinch he would make all of the ammo perform better than other factory styled ammo of the same cal , Alexander Arms sst 129ners are Hornady bullets sure but they load in Alexander’s brass , powder and primer so you get way better results than you do if you use Hornady custom or Hornady black so on and so forth 👍🏻👍🏻

That and depending on the rifle. Certain rifles like Certain ammo. The consistency of how much powder that is placed in each individual round is critical as well. There are flaws in all manufacturing processes so one companies machine may trickle a few more or a few less as far as powder weight. There are many other reasons as well but scot is the expert on this one.

You need a suppressor on that rifle. I have an 18" BCA barreled AR that will shoot sub .5" groups with the suppressor on and opens up to about 1" without the suppressor. This is with my reloads shooting 120 gr Speer Gold Dots.
