Allow the Police to use their mini-map and then use the whole of the map rather than limit yourself to the city. Would love to see the environmennt changes rather than just looping around the same streets.

@@wolfgang_h3t I couldn't tell how many cops there were. It looked to be about 6 but for balancing a mini-map would help. Car mighty does these chases on the map all the time and the police get Mini map to balance as that map is quite big

If you put bigger/stickier tires on the Barstow it drives waaay better, because from what I understand the tires that come standard on all the different cars are period correct as talked about by the devs.

It's the same thing with most games, like Forza where if you get a 70s muscle car and go for all engine performance, it will be fast but it won't want to be fast, and will refuse to turn, it also helps alot to stiffen the suspension, as that will stop alot of body roll. I have a 1960s Chevy boat in Forza, and in it's stock form, with only an engine replacement surgery, it's still absolutely trash, but with the suspension, and the massive sticky slicks, And its honestly a great handling car. I've done this to some cars in beam in the past, and beam requires more roll bar tuning than Forza, and the suspension is definitely harder to tune, but it's worth the time IMO.

CarMighty is 100x the driver, this video looked like it was in slow motion.

I think it would be better to start in a chase, since there is no blending in (or maybe give them air support if that exists). And the chases didn't really feel that tense, since your vehicle always outperformed them in everything, I think that gap needs to be closer, or for there to be a stark difference in Handling, and Speed. Anyway, great seeing more chase videos ^^

Beam is pretty wild as the super detailed engine/model means that making planes and helicopters and stuff is completely doable and works really well despite that not being at all what the game was made for.

​@@cwelch7010 a few nice aircraft mods come to mind, yeah, none are helicopters though. CessPlane, B25 Mitchell, Avro Arrow, and the Me-262. And while it's outdated now, there was an old flying Bolide mod too lol.

for high speed driving i recommend turning on the steering filter in the settings, it scales down the steering input if your going fast.

It's good until you start sliding and can't correct the slide, because the filter doesn't give you enough steering angle.

In case you don't know him already, CarMighty has a BeamNG series pretty similar to this video here (I think he calls it "Carhunt"), so that should hopefully give you a bit more of this until Alex makes the next chase video. ;)

You can brake smoothly in the muscle car as long as you synch the brake-pedal's travel with your speed, so if you drive quickly you should tap the brakes lightly, but as you're losing speed you can push the brake pedal progressively harder. That's how it worked before cars had ABS and it is simulated brilliantly in the BeamNG, and also adds a rewarding element of skill.

This take a bit of an unexpected turn, but I’m all here for it

I really enjoyed this. The fact that this is beamng means that any slight error could be fatal, and its nice to see the chasers actually properly stop you instead of bumbling all over each other like they normally do.

You REALLY need a wheel to play Beamng, it's not impossible to play with controller if you are really good with the joystick but it's less than ideal

I was laughing crying at this. I love how slow the chases are compared to GTA, I feel like it is far more dramatic

This is one of those maps in the game that doesn't take a lot of time to cover the map. The map looks large but it's not even close to the size of the survive the hunt gta city area you normally play in.

do beammp more please :)

If you do more of this, I think the next map should be Italy.

This was amazing! Really hope to see more in the future. Maybe build some cars in automation to use as the police and getaway car?

Need to have something where he has to go somewhere to “commit a crime” then has to have some getaway criteria. Although the destruction aspect is great for sure!

The problem is Automation cars exported to BeamNG usually have a terrible damage model and the potential to blow up physics if hit in the wrong spots.

I like this! The more realistic damage and physics make Beam chases feel very different and more high-stakes than in other games.

This was a lot of fun to watch, big thanks to all those involved in filming it! Maybe we could have a short breakdown video/short about how Beam MP works, as i'm sure many of us watching don't know what goes on behind the scenes to set these up.

Beam multiplayer seems alot more stable than it used to be... That's great!

Back when KissMP was more active, Cops and Robbers was the best server. Word of advice: controllability is key. Having a fast car is not as useful as handling and especially easy driving under pressure. Basically a FWD car with ABS or a strong Roamer or something is generally best for balanced chases.

This is more fun to watch than GTA5, manly because the cars can get into more funny shapes, and muscle cars have a high likely hood to combust when hit to many times from the rear.

Having a wheel is the key to driving old cars quickly in Beam. I have a G27 and it works fine for machines like this.

I like how you can't drive without traction control, yet you choose to disable it.

Love beamng but if you watch Jeff F doing this sort of thing, it needs to be way more fun, maybe a mix of police cars like one is a pursuit type car, or they have a mini map on so can set traps, as was mainly more you getting bored and looking for trouble rather than the police being a threat. Can't wait to see more Beamng needs to be played more!

Something that helped handling in Beram for me was to set the steering axis curve to be way more logarithmic. that way you get much more fine control

Love the Survive the Hunt videos, and the like! Always entertaining. So much so, that I watch CarMighty's Car Hunt chase video's as well. Would love to a collaborative video between the two. FailRace specializes in the Survice the Hunt on GTA5, and CarMighty specializing in CarHunt on BeamNG Multi. Would be entertaining to see the crossover.

It's not GTA 5, but it's awesome! I love BeamNG, played and followed it off and on for years now. The car physics is a lot more bobbly, but in its own way it is a great counterpoint to highly arcade Forza, GTA, etc. (not that I'm arguing for "muh realism" -- this is just a nice and different dish to enjoy) This gives BeamNG a pretty special flavor to the Survive the Hunt chases -- those curbs matter a lot more!
