Beachcombing - Spaghetti Monster
Ғылым және технология
Spaghetti Monsters have been washing up this past week. We’ve had several reports of eyeball looking creatures being found along the water line on Mustang Island. These jellyfish are not true jellyfish, but are siphonophores, like the Portuguese Man o’ War, which is a colony of animals living together as one. This spaghetti monster, also called thread jellies, have a scientific name of Rhizophysa. The gas filled float at the top looks like an eyeball at first glance, with long tentacles below. Watch this episode of Beachcombing with Jace Tunnell to learn more about this interesting animal. I thought it was waving 😂
It looks like the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster now has a mascot.
Sometimes I’m glad to be human imagine millions of years of evolution just to be called spaghetti monster😂
I think it's the first I've been so shocked to find so few infos about any specie in the internet? WTF?! It's almost like it has just been discovered and nobody nor even scientifics care about it, despite this thing looking neither that much rare, nor banal-looking at all.
I see a beholder has lost one of it's eyes again.
Ugh jellies. Vinegar is great and also a razor to remove the nematocysts. The worst part imo is the itch a week later.

LINDA. Let me tell you about many years back when i was 12 or 13 my friend who did not know about the man'o'war threw one onto my neck and it go stuck in part of my shirt so it took a lot of flailing to get it off initially. The tentacles stung me all over my neck, chest, and back. I still have scars till this day that are very visible when i take off my shirt and it's bright out. The pain was BLINDING for a day or two i was so high off painkillers. They are not to be messed with! Like many things the prettiest of things are the most dangerous.

The forbidden glass o water
his hands progressively get more red the more he handles it lmao
We believed you that it stung!! 😭 great video!
This seems like a cool job.
Very cool!!! And thanks for taking one for the team... ouch!
Very cool!
Ive heard of Man O Wars all my life but these little alien looking fellas, why are they even called spaghetti monsters??? I feel like "Sea Eyeballs" is the more accurate term xD
On Galveston beach during the summer I’ve found these weird orange blob things that almost look like a starfish fried to be an anemone or a Spanish dress
They’re growers not showers.
great video! you could have just said “it can sting” and i would have believed you, lol
Stings like a Portuguese Man of War.........😳 Proceeds to pet it...... 🧐🫳
Nasty! A foot or two long tentacles! Ouch! I will travel with vinegar from now on!
