John, spring coho jacks are the best eating fish in Lake Superior. I don't use boards because coho are not the least bit prop shy. In fact most of the fish I catch are caught on the middle rod fished 20 to 30 foot behind the boat in the prop wash. I fish alone in my old 14 foot Mirro-craft using three rod. The left hand rod is fished about a hundred foot behind the boat using a Thunderstick jr in mirror firetiger finish, the right hand rod behind my back has a spoon (pixie or cleo) or jig and the middle rod fished in the prop wash alway has a 1/4 ounce walleye jig with half a crawler or coho belly meat. The rod behind my back I clamp a "jingle bell" on it to let me know I'm being hit. I usually always get my limit in April and May. In late May I switch species to walleyes and bluegill.

Were you just flat lining or running 1, 2 cores?

Beach trolling for coho So in this video you mentioned the lure and depth but you didn’t mention speed I’m a green rookie and trying to learn as much as I can before going out in my own boat I’ve been out with other people in their boats but I never paid much attention to the captain’s position and what he does Liked your video and any more pointers would be greatly appreciated

Sure, but you don't need it. You can do this with any boat and very little equipment. The technique isn't expensive.
