Very wise statement roger. ‘You won’t know until you test and try’ extends to beyond fishing as well. Great life advice. Another great video.

Great catch. Please do a fishing video next time trying chicken as bait.
Awesome vid as always Roger. A couple of things I noticed. One: when you thread the salted worm on you seem to bury the hook tip which is always a big no no. Two: you should move into the modern age and switch to circle hooks. No need to strike, a lot less gut hooks and a much higher hook up rate than conventional J hooks.

Mate thats Roger Osborne! Roger F*cking Osborne! That's a mother f*cker that KNOWS how to catch fish. He doesnt need your sh*tty advice, alright.
Excellent Roger I cought fresh beach worms today, because the temperature is up to 28 we will give the yellowfin whiting one more shot before they move further up both gulfs for winter I'll let you know how we go cheer.
Caught a big flatty today after watching this one !! sweetie here I come!!!!
Hi Roger, great clip I'm interested in the reels you are using off the beach, can you tell me what they are.
Hi Roger, Love you videos but it seems very similar to each other from the fishing, to baiting abd getting the same type of fish. Love to see more content about different type of fishing.
Another great Video, Roger.\Up here we have had moderate of heavy swells for months. Today 30 knotters. You are making me jealous.

Hi Geoff, all the best
Hi Roger. Inspirational video just like all other ones. Brings back memories of how my dad taught me to fish when I was a lad. Just goes to show you, you don't need all of the newfangled gear to catch a decent fish. Maybe you can come over to WA sometime to try out our great fishing locations.
Cheers Roger luvin the tips and new vids.

Great video Roger! I'm from SA and since you and David Sheldon taught me how to catch and preserve worms , that's the only bait I use unless I'm chasing bigger fish like sharks and Jewies. I always tell people "if you fishing with beach worms and not getting bites, it cuz there ain't no fish there". Bloody legend mate keep at King!!

@@666Havers I won't lie mate, right now it's terrible. Some small ones around but I haven't caught a trophy (over a meter) in years. I usually get them in the port river and occasionally in westlakes and also in the onkaparringa. Sadly all I have caught have been between 30 to 63 cm from westlakes and the port river. Haven't gotten any out of the Onka well over a year. I heard of some good ones around though, Moana Beach apparently

@@VyNguyen-re2jz absolutely mate it would be my pleasure. Have you ever been worming before
I'm wondering just how important bait is? Fishing on weekend using only frozen prawn (all I could get because im too lazy to collect my own). Got a 60cm+ flattie and another that just hammered me and could not land on light gear - 6kg line, but lots of frustrated fun 😅. Had to re-rig 3 times so my question is, is it worth having rigs pre prepared? I normally don't due to storage. Nobody needs hooks, sinkers and line rolling around the tackle box.
Another good video mate. Enjoyed it. Yeah, live or very fresh bait is the way to go, but good to know that using month old frozen baits still keeps you in the game 😀👍 Cheers 😀

Great vid mate- luv ya work. Question- I’ve been fishing Bengello beach during the week for good results using your ‘mixed grill’ set up. But I can’t stop getting the upper leader getting all twisted with the main line after a few casts- drives me insane and time consuming- how does yours never twist up? I use alvey reels - do they create twist?
@RogerOsborneFishing
Жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, I use a 3 way swivel for the upper leader. Keep the leader fairly short, say 20cm. Mine only occasionally get twisted around the main line
🎣 some nice fish 🎣
Hi Roger you often ask for suggestions for new videos I have a suggestion for content: Sometimes when I go fishing and beach fishing especially. I’ll come home with no fish Maybe a video explaining some possible reasons why that has happened and some reasons to keep going or trying other things. Thanks.

Are you referring to QLD? If so only the Trumpeter or winter whiting have no limit. The summer or sand whiting have a 23cm limit. You better know that or risk some big fines.

@@RogerOsborneFishing Not yet Roger. I've just spent a happy hour setting up my rig. Just like yours; running star sinker, swivel, metal leader with your double hook. The sea looks very calm on Bombo but with no obvious place to fish atm. And it's bloody cold at 12 degC! I'll wait for a nicer day.

Hi David, no one has deleted any comments. I run the back end (Roger is not at all tech savvy) and neither of us would do something dishonest like that. The mere fact that I have replied to this one should be enough for any reasonable person to decide what is right. You are entitled to your assumptions/opinions however, so all the best with that and I wish you happy fishing. Ciao
