In 2014, my girlfriend, now my beloved wife and mother of two beautiful daughters, walked down the isle to this song. It was incredibly moving and it set the tone for the rest of the day. Even though our wedding was small and minimal, many of a relatives have repeatedly remarked that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever attended. Seriously, I don't have any explanation except that the theological richness of this hymn and your beautiful arrangement is what bless us that day. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. May the good Lord keep you and your family.

@@DavidAbramskyCello he is a very interesting person. Thinking about all he endured. When I was watching him slay Goliath.. it was quite fascinating that all else feared him and yet .. the young boy in the field was willing to stand against him. Yet Saul had many men who had battled in many battles.. showing how the heart and willingness in faith can overcome giants.. literally. But to think about David the person.. not as King nor soldier but a man.. who had such a heart of honesty and openness to God.. I mean the psalms that are accredited to he.. show a heart willing to admit when he was fearful, felt overwhelmed, felt defeated and yet still trusted in God. Despite how he felt he had faith. Choosing to trust God. Back then was a very different life that most of us could possibly even imagine. Vast majority of us don't know what it's like to live in a time when without technology, without many of the comforts we have.. but when men literally slayed one another just to survive.. being often under threat to serve foreign god's or lose your life.. where punishment for sins was pretty severe.. being that he was Jewish and it's before Jesus came.. his honesty in asking God why have you forsaken me in Psalm 22. This then leads to why have been often told it's not right to question God for that shows lack of faith? Vs 15 he says my strength has dried up like a potsherd and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.. you lay me in dust of death. That's pretty honest dialogue. Yet vs 19 he once again says but you O Lord be not far off. It's the honesty of heart.. the dismay.. the unbelief at times at what he is to endure.. and yet God I choose to believe you are in control anyway. What an exampleship of strength to confess such truths of the heart.. yet still show trust in God. To have the privilege of seeing such honesty.. yet the religious turn in into something it was never meant to be.. covering up all such truths. This is why I love David so much. He is my biblical encourager. Yet it's what made it hard to find such a man in modern days. To find that level of honesty about self. Rather than selling a perfected image. The closest I have seen in the public eye I was punished for acknowledging I liked his music. So go figure.

I'm an atheist but this really soothes me

i stopped being religious years ago. but i really like this hymn. the cello is extremely heart warming and the rhythm is peaceful. i usually listen to country and metal but this right here is the meaning of pure talent. i wish i could play like this even though i don't play at all. thank you for devoting so much time into what you love because i thoroughly enjoyed listening to you play thanks again tyler

We sung "Be Thou my vision " with the parish choir I am part of during our annual concert on July 22nd, 2017 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church Woodford Green Essex London England UK, Our Lord Jesus Christ really helped us to sing it in an amazing way, thanks to our choir director Kathy Wilson and to all those who came to listen to us, an evening to remember. We collected a very good amount of money for the charity jambulance appeal to Lourdes, thank you all!!!

@@DavidAbramskyCello I remembered just now the other version of "Be thou my vision" that blessed me after Dad's death in 2020, it was called "The Irish Blessing" where a bunch of churches got together in quarantine & sang a medley of songs & "Be thou my vision" was one of them. It made me weep as the video portrayed the gorgeous green cliffs of Ireland, but what was really special is that at the end it seems like Jewish believers were speaking a blessing in Hebrew. I don't know Hebrew well enough to say for sure, but it sounds like it. I don't know the diaspora that well either to know if Jewish folks traveled & settled in Ireland. It's precious & I hope u look it up & get some ideas for ur own vlog - I think it would be gorgeous set in Israel with Messianic believers singing with ur cello. Just an idea, or dreaming. I don't see myself able to travel to the Holy land due to health & expenses. Shalom dear brother! 🇮🇱✡🇺🇲🕎 🙋‍♀️

Yes, I find this cello piano version very beautiful. The rich resonant sounds of the cello give a depth to the melody, which is of course used in many folk songs. I really like this version.

Rare does a musician include a visual of HIS HOLY SCRIPTURES, bless you and please ignore all critics imposing formatting of stylistic taste or trends. What does GOD Want, for us to Love HIM, with all our heart, mind and soul. You have given the best example of how to do this. Musical Notes, what are they to GOD, when they are without heart, mind and soul for HIM.
