@@rosaristizabal Irons sings the beginning, but when his voice gave out at the lyric ( be prepared for the coup of the century) Cummings took over then on, and nearly perfected irons voice.

After 30 years, Jeremy got his redemption and finished the song! And his voice didn't chance a bit. The perfect Scar! 🦁🖤

@@leilaisaacshaneker7870 that's because in 1994 while singing the "Be Prepared" song, Jeremy managed to sing only 2/3 of it, due to a problem in his throat he wasn't able to finish it. Jim Cummings, who is voice of characters like Winnie the pooh and Rasputin in Anastasia, finish it for the studio. So this moment is quite special for Jeremy and the fans, cause he deserved the opportunity to sing it fully. 😍

He clearly is a bit out of his comfort zone but I’m so happy he did it! So nice to hear him do the whole song and live!

@@CainP he doesn’t seem the type to perform a big bombastic song on stage though, comes across more as a reserved, dramatic actor. Plus he’s not a skilled singer and Be Prepared is admittedly a speak-singing song that he relies on his charisma to pull off.

You've done us all a GREAT service uploading this. Needless to say, thirty years later, and Jeremy can STILL pull it off. A king undisputed, respected saluted, and still seen for the wonder he is!

Jeremy Irons definitely put everything in his Shakespearean training to maximum use while voicing Scar, both here and when he did the original movie 30 years ago. The brief monologue he does here before the song starts really sounds like it came straight from a Shakespeare play. And to top it off with an outstanding performance of the song he (unfortunately) couldn’t complete 30 years ago makes this show even better!

He didn't do the STICK WITH ME AND YOU'LL NEVER GO HUNGRY AGAIN bit!!! His most iconic line!!

The choreography was amazing! (I haven't seen the Broadway show but I hope it's from that.) I'm also glad Jeremy still has that power in his voice because unfortunately James E.J. lost a bit of that over time. Looks like a great performance.
