no matter how talented and skilled taemin is, there is no need to mention him "outdancing" his backup dancers when they have worked hard too . we all know that taemin outdances but its just not nice .

Well there are 3 categories which most idol agencies look for, it's Visuals, Singing/Rapping, or Dancing. Those who have more than one are more likely to be scouted than those with just one trait. But if someone is overwhelmingly excellent in a single trait, like extremely talented at singing or dancing or has a gorgeous profile, they will work around it to make them an idol if the CEO wants them, or model or backup dancer if failed but still have potential. Singing can be taught or they'd have you become a rapper, dancing can also be taught, and visuals well, people hate it but, plastic surgery is a thing if really needed. Taemin auditioned with what he definitely known for best, which is a dancing audition so it is no surprised he is often seen to "outdance" his background dancers, though they are all amazing at what they do.

Took a Korean class in college, and of course, most of my classmates were interested in kpop or kdramas. However, I had one classmate who knew next to nothing about Korean media or culture. But she was a dance major, and had become a fan of Taemin based on that alone. For this reason, she chose Korean 101 to fulfill her language requirement. 🥲

They said "it look" and not "it is" so the meaning is that it isn't messy but because he has so much experience and do it extremely well it just look like they wouldn't be able to keep up with his speed and smoothness so short said, because of his experience the backup dancers movement looks massy (and it's completely normal)

Right?? I was watching the whole video in slow motion and the backup dancers seemed to be struggling trying to keep up with his footwork, it's incredible that even ar 0.5x his movements look fast. I knew Taemin was really clean but never watched one of his vids in slow he is incredible

여러분 이게 태민이가 역대급으로 연습 못 한 안무입니다...ㅠㅠㅠ 지금 이태민이 군대가기 직전에 미치고미쳐버린 스케줄을 하고 있어서 시간이 없어서 뮤비찍고 다시 연습을 못했대요... 인간이 못할 스케줄인데 밥먹을 시간도 없다면서 이 퀄리티를 만드는 그는... 묻힐줄 알았는데 좋아요 오르고 있어서 추가... 하 태민이 31일날 군대간다고 샤이니 돈콜미 컴백한지도 아틀란티스로 리팩 나온지도 얼마 되지도 않았는데 간간이 슈퍼엠활동도 하고 온콘도 최근에 두번 하고 지금 심지어 일본 컴백도 준비하고 있는데 이렇게 대박적인 컴백을 함.... 이태민이 본인 입으로 이렇게 콘서트 빨리 (물론 태민이온콘정도의 퀄리티로) 준비한 사람 전세계에 자기밖에 없을거라고 하고 지금 딴데서 심지어 돈콜미도 또 찍고 딴 활동들때문에 지금 자기가 어드바이스 활동중인거 맞는지 모르겠다고 하는..ㅠㅠ 밥 먹을 시간도 없다그러면서ㅠ 내게 시간을 주지 않으면 내가 못할줄 알아?라는 마인드로 열심히 하고있다고 함... 그러고는 전부터 그랬지만 팬들한테 좀 쉬라는 말은 하지 말라고 근데 걱정해주는건 좋으니까 힘들겠다고만 해달라고 그런다는...ㅠ 시간없어서 뮤비찍고 다시 연습하지도 못한 안무를 이렇게 춰내면서 이 퀄리티로 미친컴백을 하고 군대가기직전까지 불태우는데,, 너무 걱정돼요 진짜ㅠ 이태민.. 아직 안 쓰러진게 그냥 신기하고 다들 템멘템멘하는데 이번에 난 진짜 얘가 천상계인가 싶었음.. 인간이 어떻게 이걸 해내요ㄷㄷ (좀 많이 길군요 그냥 넘어가 주시죠...,,,)

Wow, I’m still not over this choreo and the way Taemin executed all those super fast and intricate moves. I’m usually full of praise for his backup dancers, but in this particular case they sometimes look sloppy and not so precise as him. He truly is The King.

Taemin is a dancing beast. No matter how professional or powerful you are as a dancer you don't stand a chance to get the spotlight if you're gonna dance with him because all the eyes will be on him. Taemin stands out the most even among the world class dancers and performers which is actually really insane. TAEMIN DESERVES ALL THE RESPECT AND MORE FOR HIS INSANE SKILLS AND TALENTS.

요즘 댄서들 백업영상 열심히 찾아보는데 딴 아이돌들은 확실히 춤 자체는 댄서들이 훨씬 잘 하는데 이건 의식적으로 댄서들 볼라다가도 태민만 보임,, 중딩이 언제 이렇게 컸누

태민이 동나이대 댄서들이랑 비교해봐도 연습량이 아에 다르지 보통 댄서들은 중학교땐 학교동아리, 동네 댄스학원만 다니다가 고등학교들어갈때쯤 진로를 확실하게 정해서 그때부터 대형댄스학원다니면서 연습하는데 태민이는 중학교들어가기도 전에 sm들어가서 우리나라에서 제일 좋은 레슨받고 고등학교올라가기도 전에 데뷔를 했으니 아직 20대인데 댄스경력만 15년이 넘음 넘사임

I just realized that the reason he’s probably wearing black and white is because, “not everything is black and white.” By choosing to wear both colors, he’s basically saying he’s not gonna go by societal norm of what he’s trying to portray in his music. He’s gonna do it in his own way and however he wants. Showing versatility and meaning in whatever he puts out throughout his career. Hence the message of the song as well. Man the mind of Taemin. ICONIC.

I love how the two parts of himself, black and white, are showed by the back dancers with him in the center leading them. Especially in the part : " I don't wanna listen to you " at the end, where he's really looking like possessed. An extraordinay masterpiece.

He is beyond dance though...he is the complete package - dance, vocals, visual, concept. He is the lagendary solo artiste!

The only artist who is more detailed in his moves than his dancers are. He cares so much about every minute detail and move that it shows in the way he moves in comparison to everyone else, iykyk. @1:52 you can see it in the way they take their steps. It's such a quick move, but his steps are wider and cleaner! I was so impressed I rewound the clip once, then again, then I slow it down. I am blown away by his artistry every time.

@@Lex-wm1hd I mean he's literally known for his dancing and works with boa and boa loves him. She literally picked him as her dance partner favorite one. He has such interesting weird choreography that's not typical in K-pop which I really like is very artsy and very different the formations and he works with like in Eastwood,he worked with Bailey Sok koharu sakagawa a lot of well-known and very good choreographers who praised him a lot.

This dance is EVERYTHING I don't know how many times I've watched it. Taemin really is the closest to Micheal Jackson in terms of dance and stage presence and themes, I can't get enough. I know he's his own artist and has his own style but he did say he's a huge fan and I can definitely see it, I BELIEVE it, I FEEL it. It's insane. Whoever didn't recognize this dance doesn't know anything about dance. It's just so filling watching it over and over and the dancers presence is also amazing in this. It's just perfection, as usual from Taemin. Never disappoints.

Taemin's performance does not need special effects. His view is a special effect in itself

와 태민은 진짜... 아이돌 남자솔로 중엔 원탑인 것 같다... 개인적으로... 다른 솔로도 많지만 음 자기 지향점까지 이렇게 확실하고 신념(?)이 탄탄한 솔로는 못 봤다...

You’re totally right. After discovering KPop & then SHINee/Taemin a few years back, I realised how disappointed I’d become with western artists. They seem to lack the edge performers like Taemin have. They no longer excite me.Taemin does. Now there’s no going back.

@@namelesslovexx western entertainment doesn't put that much accent and pressure on... actually nothing. Its easier to become a singer in the US even without knowing how to write/ produce your own music. Korean entertainment industry is more strict and focused on perfection so that's why korean celebrities dance better. But there's a downside... korean idols are overworked and put under a lot of stress and pressure that can cause worse problems because of this obsession with perfection the companies have.

어떤 영상에서 여성 댄서분들과 춤출때랑 남성 댄서분들과 춤출때가 다르다길래 보러 왔는데 디테일이..대박

천재성을 타고난 자가 15년정도 뼈를 깎는 노력을하고 거대자본까지 투자해야 이정도 퀄리티가 나오는구나...눈이 너무 높아져서 큰일이야. 왠만한걸로는 이제 성이 안참.

이게뭐지.. 난 분명 우리 스우파 댄서들 보러왓는데.. 태민노래라 태민 위주로 찍어서 눈이 가는것도 있겠지만 난 작정하고 댄서들만 보려고 들어왔는데 처음에 태민만 감상함ㅋㅋ 춤도 춤이고 연예인이다이건가 진짜이쁘게생겼다

찐공백기 전 마음에 드는 곡이 없어서 앨범 발매 없이 가려고 했다가 극적으로 만난 곡이 어드바이스라니... 듣는 귀 탁월하고 결단력까지 있어.. 너무 멋있다

와 춤을 진짜.. 완전 잘 춘다로 표현이 부족할 만큼 존나 개잘춘다.. 6개월에 한번씩은 봐야함. ..

팬도 아닌데 국방부 원망이 뭔지 알게 해준 사람 이태민... 입대한 거 아까워 죽겄다 이거 볼 때마다ㅜ 진짜 훨씬 잘돼야 하고 훨씬 잘될 거야

몰입감이 엄청나다

퍼즐 수윤 무대 보고 왔는데... ㄹㅇ 원곡 커버 자체가 불가능한 무대였는데 꽤 가다가 났다는 거에 울 수윤 누나 멋있다 생각하고 태민님은 어나더라는 거에 다시 감탄합니다;;

태민은 진짜 전형적인 안무만 외우고 힘이랑 속도로 휘두르는 타입이 아니라 어릴때부터 독학해온 온갖 테크닉+짬으로 항상 디테일 살리며 깔끔히 추는게 매력인듯. 춤보는것만으로 중독되는 그런게 있음

Taemin is the most complete artist I have ever seen! Every Taemin's choreo are the hardest out there but he make it look easy. The way he move is so smooth yet powerful. His vocal are masterpiece. What I love most about Taemin is that he doesn't follow any trend or mainstream but he make a trend himself. He never afraid of trying new things. I can't really describe in words how talented he is but He is literally THE GOD OF KPOP!

If you think Taemin is the most complete artist you have ever seen I highly recommend you check out his label mate Kai from SM's other boy group Exo. To me he's the most complete artist I've ever seen in kpop (like how Taemin is to you) and I think you will like him if you like Taemin. He has great vocals, dance skills, and can rap pretty well. If SM gave him more opportunities, I think he could be the next Taemin for them.

But you know as multifan I can say there something special about Taemin. He isn't just idol, if you see if all korean mv and especially his Japanese song, you call tell how Taemin is truly an artist and different from the other. He has his own genre, T-pop.

Nobody is at the level of TAEMIN. absolutely no one. The faster choreography, the visuals, the voice, the rap and adding the piano that gives the song an artistic touch. Best dancer so far. The king. 👑👑👑
