I've been listening to hard Rock since the early 70's. I am now 64 years old, and the discovery of this Band Be'lakor has been a water mark in my life. Much like when I first discovered Rush 2112 and Caress of Steel. This band reaches deep into my very soul and being. One of the best discoveries ever. The last 2 minutes of Aspect is one of the best passages of music every. Be'lakor.....the new Rush. And yes, that is the very HIGHEST of compliment coming from me. Thank you for the great music. Comming from a 42 year old, huge Rush fan I totally agree. Was able to see them at Counterparts.and Test for Echo tours where the latter they played 2112 in the entirety. And yeah, I stumbled into Be'lakor a few weeks ago and completely blew my mind.

Why does anyone need any high praise? From you or anyone just let people express themselves when they aren’t harming anyone what so bad about all the genres or songs you dont dig man ? Exactly so so much for your high praise it means next to nothing :) not to insult you but just to be a realist and not feed anyones ego they just wanna express themselves through music all the compliments and ego boosting sometimes go way to far:) thats all no harm no foul from you of course i just disagree with what you think but everyones got there own opinions usually or someone else’s haha .

I think the world might be a better place if more people listened to Be'lakor. This stuff is like a gut punch to the soul in the best ways.

Top shelf metal. Every album is a no skip masterpiece of fluid licks and amazing musicianship.

This is a lot more than just "good" metal. A lot more...

What is also awsome is that the band is named after the Chaos deamon prince Be'lakor from the Warhammer universe :) Metal and nerd-hobbies at its best! Great album!

it's sad but disliking a band as nothing to do about their talent ......maybe the one that disliked this was killed by Bel'akor the Dark Master, in Warhammer .....who know ? or you can take that dislike like LMTR14 and go nuts ! XD

Track 2 is actually titled "From Scythe to Sceptre" the idea being that they are both tools, but used for different purposes.

I actually think it's a song about the transcending nature of the human psyche.The scythe and the scepter are all but different stages with that provide different views. The beauty of well-constructed melo-death song.It just has so many interpretations,all so deep.

@@L4K3V Late to comment, but I feel the song is just about everyone dying eventually and life being short. The title just means that it doesn't matter what you do in life the end is the same. Slaves had scythes and emperors had sceptres. Awesome song!

@@vekeuimonen11 Indeed, but in the same time, the scythe will become the sceptre. The slave will become a king and, since life is so short, they are essentially the same. They end up the same anyway, and one can't be without the other, but to the same end.

@@L4K3V Could be, hard to say based on the lyrics if they are talking about moving up on the socioeconomic ladder during your life or if it is just referencing separate people from those backgrounds all having the same destination in life. There are also some lyrics that could be talking about the plague (black death).
