Be Jesus-Conscious, Not Devil- Conscious

Focus on Jesus:
Being Jesus-conscious means fixing our thoughts, hearts, and lives on Jesus Christ, who is the author and perfecter of our faith. Hebrews 12:2 encourages us to:
"fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Focusing on Jesus empowers us to live a victorious and faith-filled life, anchored in His love and righteousness.
Freedom from Fear:
Jesus-consciousness frees us from fear and the schemes of the devil. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us:
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
By focusing on Jesus, we embrace His power, love, and self-discipline, which dispel fear and anxiety.
Victory in Christ:
The Bible assures us of the victory we have in Jesus over the devil. Colossians 2:15 declares:
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."
Jesus' triumph on the cross ensures that we live in victory, not in fear of the devil's power.
Renewed Mindset:
Being Jesus-conscious involves renewing our minds with His Word, which helps us focus on things above. Colossians 3:2 advises:
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."
This heavenly mindset keeps us focused on Jesus and His promises, rather than being preoccupied with the devil's distractions.
Living in the Spirit:
Living a Jesus-conscious life means walking in the Spirit, which produces the fruit of the Spirit in us. Galatians 5:22-23 describes:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
Focusing on Jesus and living in the Spirit fosters spiritual growth and fruitfulness, diminishing the devil's influence.
Authority in Jesus:
Jesus-consciousness involves recognizing and exercising the authority we have in Christ. Luke 10:19 affirms:
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
This authority empowers us to live confidently, knowing that we are protected and victorious in Jesus.
Summary:
Being Jesus-conscious means focusing on Jesus Christ, His love, and His victory rather than being preoccupied with the devil and his schemes. This focus leads to a life of faith, peace, and victory, anchored in the power and promises of Jesus. By renewing our minds, living in the Spirit, and exercising our authority in Christ, we can live a life that is centered on Jesus, free from fear and the devil's influence.
