I had help from police once in a circle before BEL circle, the cab I booked had some issue and left me in circle and it's completely isolated and scary. The hoysala team present their enquired and made me to sit in their vehicle untill another cab came and took driver details and sent me. Hats off to police.

If you have valuables with you or have big lugguage its better to avoid hiring cabs its better to wait till 5am and get a cab at night you cant trust anyone there are 99% of good people but 1% of bad ones if you end up with bad one it goes wrong its always better to Stay safe. waiting is always better than risking
