That reminds me of a story. Some guy was driving in the rain and saw a girl in a dress walking down the side of the road. So he slowed down and asked her if she wanted a ride because of the rain, and she accepted and got in the back seat. He asked where she wanted to go, and she said, "I live down at the end of this road." Going on a bus isn't going to help anyone, so these are purely demons. Demons haunt certain areas, but can leave those places, if you ask God to get rid of them. As a Singaporean, I used to work in a very old condo. I could take other buses but I liked the 975 route because its quiet once we enter the straight drive through the cemetery. I have had some shit happen to myself. One day, I was otw to the condo. It was roughly 7+pm when the sky has dimmed dark enough. Myself and an office lady, and the driver. The driver stopped at a stop. A figure with long hair hovering its face and body, and a white robed body. Lifted its arm. Threw what seemed to be coins into the coin deposit. Driver goes off. A few stops, the alarm goes off. The driver stopped but the figure was no longer there. The bus driver was really cool. Me and the ol? We shat ourselves.😅

If I'm not mistaken, in Singapore 🇸🇬 at certain times of the day, bus drivers are asked to wait at bus stops to allow passengers to come in. If they're too ahead of schedule they'll drive slower and wait at bus stops even if they're no ppl😊

As a Singaporean, I can confirm that bus 975 does have it's stop bell going off even when there is no passengers on board considering that I once boarded that bus at 11:58 pm that night. And what's more is it actually isn't that scary even though it was my first time boarding that bus as well

Well im still in singapore.

I am a serviceman who has taken 975 to Sungei Gedong camp before. But because I usually board the bus in the morning and late afternoon, I have never experienced any supernatural encounters but it certainly passes by a police academy, a couple of army camps, an air base and blocks for migrant workers.

@udipta21 yes they do, not every area or service but this is common, its to prevent bunching up. I have a friend who worked the control tower and he explained. There are some places where only 1 bus travels. Either they drive extra slow or drive normal speed and stop at every stop

Stories like these are all over south east asia. Its always when the driver never speak, the passenger never get off the bus, the only car on the street are the bus, and no sound from outside. Only then you should never ever ask the passenger nor the driver, just get to your destination.

As someone who identifies as a bus, I can confirm this is true.

Reminds me of a story where a motorcyclist was just passing by a cemetery but then a woman asks him to stop and give her a ride. The motorcyclist then told her to get on his motorcycle and he would take her to a shelter. But then when he passed the cemetery, he realized his motorcycle felt very heavy. He looked back, and the woman was gone. Only a gravestone was behind him. He left his motorcycle and ran away as fast as he could.

The reason why SG busses stop at empty stop sometimes is because they have to adhere to the schedules of their arrival times. Each bus stop has a specific arrival time for every bus service. When they stop it gets recorded in the system whether they are ahead or behind schedule. Something like that.

Yeah but I'm sure most people that have any common sense would already know why they do that but i have gotten on empty buses like this before too what's even scarier is when one more person gets on it at night in the middle of nowhere and some of the drivers will rip you off of a day pass if you don't remind them several times that you were paying for a full bus pass. Oddly enough the city buses in the ghetto are the scariest to get on though too because the johns drive by every few minutes looking for prostitutes to pick up and you have to curse at some of them just to get them to drive off.

While in Malaysia, all these bus drivers wouldnt even stop unless its a usual busy area or if theres a passenger at the bus stop or if someone wants to exit the bus. Even small bus stops in residential areas where theres rarely anyone, they would just drive past it nevermind at a bus stop near cemeteries

As an NSF at Sungei Gedong Camp I can confirm the length of the 975 journey is more sian than anything creepy/paranormal. Also there are farms around that area and the smell of their shit fills the air especially when it rains, I think the ghosts find it smelly also.

I live in Singapore, and I've seen this bus in operation. I had to pick up my friend from one of the campsites near the route. The bus really stops at every stop, even though the Bus Captain is the only person onboard.

I was on a bus I’m used to taking, the drivers were always changing and I saw one I’d never seen before. He stoped at random stops with no one waiting, opened the door and everything, like he could see something we didn’t. That creeped me out big time. Still does.

You should also look into “ghost bus” from Hong Kong. Especially with the license plate or number of “66”. There’s been stories of people getting into this bus and never coming back. Only a lucky few did. A few years back, there was even an accident that happened in “new territories area” and people died because the ghosts in that specific area were getting more stronger and wanted to harm people. You could even look into “Ghost Taxi” as well.

I’m a singaporean and I study about buses and during the night that bus might be the last bus for the day so the driver is forced to stop at all bus stops😅😊

I once drove over around 10pm to deliver food to a fire station along that stretch and my faulty radio turned on loud. Almost pissed my pants….

Not me its actually quite ridiculous some of the stuff he says like this video for example, busses have set times if they get back to the depot to early they get penalised to late and also penalised its literally that simple nothing else its actually normal for a lot of busses to stop at empty stops i see it every day, I even asked the bus driver one time why he was waiting at an empty stop and he literally said I'm on a time schedule some rabbit hole that was eh?

Guys, don’t be mistaken. The bus captains DO NOT stop because there are ghosts. They stop because according to the Bus Contracting Model (BCM), all buses have a schedule to follow and especially for last buses, they must strictly follow the schedule to not miss any passengers who need the ride.

BEWARE: This doesn't only happen for bus 975 but other busses too. I took the last bus of 61 at night all alone. At the time I had no idea and posted on my WhatsApp status jokingly stating that the driver is stopping for ghosts without knowing that there are actually superstitious stories of it. Though iirc, they actually do it because they have a given time frame.

I'm definitely taking that bus on my next visit.

When you do, try at the best time between 1-3am in my personal experience it's when most activity are taking place XD

As a Filipino living in the Philippine province, this isn't a strange occurrence. When we used to travel by bus to and from Manila as a kid, I often heard similar stories. One time, around May, (Fiesta season) we had to stop at a quiet crossing at night for quite a while, even though there were only 2 passengers that got off that I could see and they barely had any luggage. My mom and I were pretty much the only passengers left, save for 2 or 3 other people. It confused me at first, but I kept quiet. Let me also add that minutes before it stopped, I could've sworn the bus felt full of people, but after those 2 passengers got off during the long stop, it suddenly felt really empty. (we were sitting near the front, so we couldn't see what's behind without standing up). After the bus started moving again, the conductor turned to us and apologized, "Sorry for the delay, it's passenger season right now. A lot of them seem to also come home this time of year to celebrate." he said it in a lighthearted tone, but we immediately understood what he meant. The other passengers that haven't gotten off yet but lived in the same area also came closer and added that it happens all the time and apparently, supernatural beings also have celebrations of their own during that month so busses going through the area often make similar stops in that particular spot. At some point, it just stopped being scary to everyone and just became a regular occurrence that no one bats an eye on. Very on brand for Filipinos I guess, we tend not to overthink things and just go with the flow lol~

It’s true..whether their is passenger boarding or alighting..the bus will stop when it’s reach the bus stop..once the driver never stop…after few minutes of driving ..driver stops the bus and get off from his seat and kneel down, with both hands claps together and trembling says, “pls forgive me, I won’t do it again!” I was on the bus back to Amour camp in 1993, 1130pm..it was the Ghost month…

Had an experience in this bus. I was going home around 9pm+ and took this bus. Got so busy with my phone watching KZread. Then i didn’t even know that I missed my stop already. I reached the end. But the thing is, when in the dead end already the bus captain saw me, and can see in his face how shock he was, and I’m just looking at him. Then he asked me, where are you going? I told him, then he said, it’s very far already. He told me to stay inside the bus and don’t go anywhere while he come down for a while. It was deadens and he u-turn. That time I searched for the bus and read online these kinds of stories justifying the reaction of the bus driver when he saw me 😂

Cycled that route to camp at night a few times, a rather calming experience getting away from people and just chill by myself and my road bike. The air might be smelly if wind direction is not in favor due to the chicken farm nearby.

From what i heard, the new drivers or whoever that stays in the west side of singapore will deploy to that bus service for an up start. They will even stop at one of the busstops at night even when theres nobody flags for the bus. Afterall they’ve got no choice but to drive there.

I lived in Singapore for several years. The story of taxi drivers refusing to pick up "passengers" along this and other roads around the city, are multitude. Why: The passengers they pick up suddenly disappear in the back seat, but more importantly, THEY NEVER PAY THEIR FARE.

This is true. That area gives me the creeps when I was a Mc Donald's delivery rider and have to deliver in that area. We will be assigned to go in pairs... Some of us riders have had "pillion rider" experienced! Scary shit
