This is absolutely true from my experience. I've been all over the world, six continents, 50+ countries. The greatest hospitality that I ever experienced came in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. I was hiking from village to village with my guide and porter/mule man doing some location scouting and we crashed nightly at random strangers homes. My guide explained to me that he did not know each individual, but that he knew someone from each village and that it was all good. The fed us their best food (which was especially good considering it was Ramadan), gave us their best beds, and everyone was in such a good mood. It was a life changing experience. I love the Berber people of Morocco.

I swear this is soo true... if you go outside during eid or public holidays, u can see people outside and they will give u money as a gift. Once I went to buy some stationery stuffs and I was waiting for this Arab family to leave the counter. They took my stationeries and paid for it. I was like sooo shocked but still I remember them smiling soo widely 😃. It still makes me so happy 😊 that they provide such a great care and love for foreigners. I would definitely go to UAE again such a great hospitality they provide ❤❤❤.

It happened to me several times in Saudi Arabia. Sometimes I invite some local friends for lunch or dinner when i go to the cashier to pay i find out that someone paid already. I noticed that they make a gesture or speak in Arabic to the waiter or the cashier not to take money from me. When i tell them its my treat they tell me that i am a guest in their country and they should be the one to treat me..

Me too! My room is literally a guest room for guests who stays overnight! Before they actually sleep, I'll have to change the bedsheets and clean the whole room :)

@@serenahajj ofcourse no offense friend, you can say what you think 😁 .. i am saying that arab was like this even before islam came, but islam made it for better purpose. Before, they respect their guests and neighbors for traditionnel and reputation. But islam came with better ways to behave with guest, neighbors, people in general. So their hospitality became better and for good purpose. This is what i was trying to say Serena. 🙂

@Blue Slushie You obviously don't understand Islam. Islam has been around since the beginning of humanity. The Quran is simply the final revelation. And no, you don't have to convert to marry a Muslim. Islam teaches its followers to not hate on other religions (even idol worshippers despite the obvious problems within their beliefs) and to simply spread the message. The below verses depict the Abrahamic faiths as fellow believers who believe in the same God in an equal light. "Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians - whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.” (The Holy Quran 2:62 ) “…and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, ‘We are Christians,’ because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant” (The Holy Quran 5:82)

I am an Arab from the gulf. If someone did what you just did with a Bedouin man (walk inside the house where the women are staying), believe me you are dead. They will welcome you in a separate room which has just one door and treat you well.

Assuming from your name, you are a muslim and you know what I mean. We will treat you and your wife the same way I would like to be treated. I don't like it when a man sits with my wife, so I won't do it to yours.
