We had one on our Jayco Journey about 5 years ago, bloody brilliant bit of gear, we had gas bayonets at the front and back so could use it any where as needed depending on wind, site setup etc. When we get another caravan will definitely be looking at getting another one.

That’s awesome. I’d love to get a bayonet down the back. The BBQARM has made bbqing so much easier. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

One question about the webber. Does it have the flame failure device fitted yet? Have been told that its now illegal to connect any gas bbq to the caravan supply if this device isnt fitted. Now have to connet our webber directly to the gas bottle

Ok buckle in for a long answer - I copied from Webber directly To comply with the updates to the Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 5263.1.7:2020 (Gas appliances: Domestic outdoor gas cooking appliances), you should not connect a gas cooking appliance to your caravan or boat if: it was manufactured post recertification and carries a permanent marking stating “Do not install in, or connect to consumer piping or gas supply system of a boat or caravan” (printed on data label on Weber barbecues); and It does not have a flame safeguard device fitted. If your Weber gas barbecue does not have the permanent marking on the data label, stating “Do not install in, or connect to consumer piping or gas supply system of a boat or caravan,” it was manufactured prior to recertification. The updates to the standard are not retrospective, so do not apply to these barbecues and can be used. Long story, ours doesnt have that label so we can use it legally :)

Height will vary depending on the height of your draw bar frame. Did you get the 6” riser?

Great bit of kit, we have one on our SWAG Hybrid, as another poster mentioned, an expensive bit of kit, but worth the money 👍 Which campsite was this review shot at?

Yeh it’s great. Certainly makes BBQing a lot more enjoyable and easier. This was shot at Lake Somerset, near Kilkoy in QLD. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

I noticed that you have your Q hooked up to the bayonet. Is it legal? I've heard so many different opinions on the legality/safety of this. We have a bayonet on our van, but I decided to buy a smaller 4.5kg gas cylinder just in case its not legal.

Hey Andy, yes that’s correct I have been using a bayonet fitting. I have stopped using it since I was advised of the issue. Personally I don’t see any difference to connecting it to a gas bottle as it still doesn’t have a flameout device connected. The bbq is used outside and not internal. So according to the rule, “When a BBQ is connected to a bayonet or fixed installation it is deemed to be a part of the installation and must have flame safeguard. If the BBQ is fixed to a caravan or on a product such as a slide out, the BBQ is deemed to be a part of the installation and must have flame safeguard” I really can’t see what the difference is having it connected via a bayonet or having a gas bottle sitting next to it. In both scenarios they still don’t have a flameout device, however one is legal and one is not. Weber are apparently coming out with a flameout device soon, so once that comes out I’ll get that fitted! Cheers Adam

Would you buy one if you didn't get it for free? Big outlay for just bbq table considering baby q is $300 plus your looking at pretty expensive bbq setup!

Hey mate, my honest opinion is yes. I’m not willing to stand in front of a camera and lie to my audience about a product I don’t believe in. Ive set out to provide genuine and honest reviews and will point them out if I find them. Anyone that has ever asked me to do a review is told if they want me to do a review then I’ll tell it like it is. It definitely makes setup easier and is more practical than what we used before. It’s super handy. It is a bit of an outlay but it’s going to probably outlast the bbq. I’m really impressed by quality and finish. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

@@GetCampingOz not knocking your review I think you do very good job at doing them! It just annoys people when people do a review on something and the cost never gets mentioned! Review's should mention price and then the person doing the review should then state weather or not they would buy or not for that price! if you get my point! Keep up the good work 👍
