yea i live in n.c. and you dont go to charlotte or any big city for good bbq,u gotta go to country where they been doing it for yrs and do it right.
I drive 45 min just to go to Midwood and, yes, there are plenty of country bbq places on the way but Midwood is the best.
Its funny i always hear nc is the bbq capitol of the U.S but theres no good bbq in charlotte lol
Kansas city has more BBQ restaurants per person than any other city. No other city can be called capitol when you have a king.

You better like vinegar & mustard... There is no such thing as a pork Burnt End... Burnt Ends are made from the point of the brisket and there's definitely NO BRISKET ON A HOG...! You're a long way from Kansas City...!

Charlotte had no good BBQ? Ever heard of Bill Spoons on S Blvd? Only been there like 40+ years...
