The logo from 1990 to 1997 happens to be pretty nostalgic for me because it was on a VHS tape I had for Wallace and gromit in the wrong trousers. I may not be from UK but I absolutely love that show and did even when I was a baby

3:14 I knew this series of logos from my Doctor Who: Death to the Daleks videotape. The outro versions of it are so sad with the music turning to a funeral like tone and the star dying, like the video we just watched & the world within died along with it, That idea haunted me as a toddler.

I respect your opinion, ItzAdamIsNoob. The BBC Video logo had scared many people, especially in their 90's childhoods when they're watching Wallace & Gromit tapes, due to the very depressing tune, the animation and the fact that the entire logo is on a black background. And on the Wallace & Gromit tapes, the scare factor just got even worse when this logo got followed by the Aardman Animations "Clayface" logo. One of the scariest British logos of all time, but is not as bad as the Bravo UK 1997 idents (leave them if you are under the age of 16).

3:30 was the intro to my Postman Pat VHS, 4:53 my Fireman Sam VHS. Nostalgia overload.

I remember seeing the 1990-1997 logo on some Pingu VHS tapes I had when I was a little kid. It appears that I'm far from being alone in this.

Growing up, the globe one gave be nightmares lol. I was so spooked. Kinda still gives me chills lol.

Especially if you fell asleep with a video on and woke up suddenly when that outro was on, so freaky!

The 1997-2009 logo is the complete contrast to this, the music used in this logo is very calming and makes me think of a person's soul, having left their body after death, ascending into the afterlife, to be united with their family and friends after a lifetime of pain and suffering, they are finally at peace. I sometimes listen to this one to calm me down during periods of stress.

I heard the 97-09 intro on the Blue planet 1 and Wallace and Gromit DVD sets as a kid! Quality Nostalgia!!

I too remember vividly the 1997-2009 logo, it was in the intro of the DVD reissue of "Muzzy in Gondoland" (hoping I'm not the only one who remembers about it)

Grew up with the old logos from the 1990's to 2000's as my family watched British comedies, and Doctor Who even had one of them!

My faves have to be 88-90, 90-97 and 97-09, they were so good, you don't see things like that anymore

1997-1997 most nostalgic- many memories for me, Wallace and Gromit, Rosie and Jim, Bob the builder, Come outside, Pingu and Brum!!

Best logo has got to be 1990-1997. I remembered seeing that when I was 5

Back in 2021. I got a Something Special DVD. I got the BBC Video Logo opening from 2009. That was part of My Childhood when I watched it. When I was 5. Truly Sad Story 😢

We used to see the ribbons one while watching mr tumble. Nostalgia hits so hard!

The 1997 to 2009 is so nostalgic, I remember it coming on at the end of a cbeebies videotape after pingu had finished 😂 god those video tapes and sleeves with them were awesome

But it’s not on the two American DVDs from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment (Even though Fox used to distribute BBC’s programs in the US but not any of their children’s series).

I love the 1997 logo because I have many Doctor Who DVD. Doctor Who Series 1 Doctor Who Series 2 Doctor Who Series 3 Doctor Who Series 4 Doctor Who Specials (2008-2010)

I like the 2nd theme to this logo as it plays like an army band of drums first then trumpets and then other instruments.

It went from a Moog-synth song with a marching band drum, to a big-band version of the previous theme (which was used in tandem with the previous song) with kettle drums on a different key, to an entirery orchestrated version of the previous theme led by violins (again, in a different key) and finally, a laid-back Rock version of the same theme (in a different key once again).

1997 -2009 just has me waiting on the Black Beauty tune for the Alan Partridge DVD.

The music used for the 1990-1997 logo always reminds me of death, it is very gothic and is the sort of music you would hear at a funeral, as a large projection of the person's life plays overhead. Like the music which would play after everyone has gone, hearing this after life has ended. Imagine being trapped in a room, with no door, and no way out, with screens playing this tune over and over for eternity.

Jesus Christ, the 1990-1997 logo scared the shit out of me as a child. I remember watching a video of fireman Sam, It was late at night and I didn't want to disturb my parents, I wanted to watch the entire thing to see if there were any special features at the end, I got to the end of the credits and when I heard the logo sound, I was straight out of my living room, ran into my parents' room and cried in my dads' arms. The music is so ominous, I hated it, and I still get unnerved by it. It didn't help that I saw it in pitch blackness. Hearing that horrifying sound in total darkness, nothing but the television giving out light terrified me.

Man I just spent 12 minutes watching old idents. Wtf am I doing with my life??

That 1990 - 1997 logo freaked me out! Before I was transported to the wizzard relm I watched a lot of Wallace and Gromit. I would hide behind the couch after every tape.

When I was at my grandparents house, I looked in their storage room and came across an educational VHS tape called "Reptiles" and it had the old BBC Print logo on it. Would there be any chance the 1st or 2nd logo would be on it?
