It's not closing - the BBC will just stop scheduling separate programming for LW and FM/DAB. The transmitters aren't being switched off just yet. (Probably when the final pair of valves fail!) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droitwich_Transmitting_Station

I take it they'll be simulcasting the normal BBC 4 radio after then?

The test match ia on Radio 5 live sports extra on DAB if you are desperste ro listen to it.
