Central England seemed to be the best place to spend Christmas in 1992 with some freezing fog. Boring and mild up here in Scotland. Thanks for the upload. It is great to have these time capsules preserved online. As Christmas starts to draw near each year, it's a tradition for me to watch these Christmas weather forecasts from the 90s and lament how much the world and TV itself has changed.

wonderful footage , What used to really annoy me is previews to programmes I liked such as Only fools and horses , funny clip , but now we seen it before the joke is known . Remember Bernard Davey

love the old footage . One thing I used to really hate and still do are previews which they'd ruin a scene 0:53 so when the programme comes on first time you know what's coming .

Yeah, I'm from Swindon, and apparently he lives local, so it seemed applicable lol. Was very impressed when I saw him on here lol!

Christmas Day honestly happened to be on Friday 25th December 1992 is Christmas Day nearly 30 previous years ago. Time honestly has flown quickly. Life is short. Bernard Davey honestly doesn’t work on the BBC weather anymore.

'An extra helping of Tex Avery'?! No!!!! Why was I not informed? Yeah, alright, I was 7, but still! Seriously, though, if it wasn't for the BBC's decision to canonise him as being officially a genius, by screening his stuff on BBC2, and billing the cartoons with his name on them, I doubt if I'd've been as familiar with him as a child as I was. Because of that, I was an animation-obsessed nutter from quite a small child, especially with Rolf Harris & Tony Robinson on-air an' all. Extraordinary.

Interesting that they call Boxing Day "St Stephen's Day" - a much more common name for it in Ireland than in the UK. The late Andy Cartledge (who often seemed to work at Christmas) is the announcer.

I need to find a vhs tape of this, its stashed away in storage but it was recorded one christmas, unsure if it was the same year or not but there was a comedy program that took the rise out of this film the same day. I will get it recorded and uploaded.
