Been a B04 fan for over 20 years now. This all feels like a dream, a beautiful dream!!!

Considering that Dortmund & Bayern are in the Semi Final of the Championsleague and Leverkusen has clearly dominated the Bundesliga this year. Its probably not a long shot to say that Leverkusen might be the best team in the world right now.

Here after the 2-2 semifinal against Roma ⚫🔴

If they stay unbeaten and win an invincible triple, then it will be the best season ever played in football. No matter if it is Europa league. A run like that was never achieved before

You can't imagine how satisfying it is to be a Leverkusen citizen right now! .. and it's just 47 Games unbeaten after the win in Rome... btw :D 🖤♥

@@robs257 I mean they were alternating all year/season long - but yeah hes still not there 100% - we see great moments here and there but then he also stumbles a bit. But its alright he will be back in Bayer meds we trust ^^ Andrich is a beast - he doesnt hit all his distance shots but if he does... and on field he is just a bolder a woodcuter a machine working forward and backwards going into many duels.

@@Linkingx2 hmm i wouldnt agree that they were alternating all Season long. In the first half of the Season palacios started almost every Game over andrich in the league. Maybe two or three andrich started.. I remember even Interviews from andrich that he wants to play more so he has a Chance to play in the euros. (Ironic because now he will be the starter next to kroos in the euros) Yeah love Players like him. Looks like he slays sheeps at night 😁

@@robs257 Well you might be right - I missed a couple of the early season league games - but went to the Group Stage matches and if I m not mistaken he played there more often - but what ever maybe my mind is playing tricks with me. Regardless at Bayer we have a stacked midfield - I hope we get to upgrade our roster and not sell + downgrade due to money reasons :/

Andrich s goal vs Roma was honestly beautifully shot.

That boniface "push" looks like the most minimal contact ever and it looks like the only reason the player even moved was because of the momentum he already had

Yeah and at best the push was 5-10cm. The player was more like 20-30cm away from the ball and wouldnt have played it anyway.

In both trebles you have Neuer and Müller, what a longevity.

You didn’t even mention Florian Wirtz. This guy is pure insanity. He is the best player in the whole world this season. He is the best scoring midfielder in terms of G+A in the top 5 leagues (maybe in every league, but I didn’t know that). What makes this even crazier is that he really doesn’t define himself with goals and assists, like most of the players, that have such numbers. Wirtz plays a integral part in build up. He is dictating the tempo of the game together with Xhaka. Also his defensive workrate is one of the best out there. He has been one of the best pressing players this season in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen will win all competitions this year. I think Germany will also perform well at the Euros. That’s why Wirtz is currently playing the best 2023/2024 season out of any player. He should be awarded with the Ballon d‘or

The only reason I didn't mention him is because he doesn't need last second moments to do well, he just does it from minute 1

the downside to being this clutch is in the future people could look back and see all of these last minute goals and be like "well actually they sucked bc 90% of their games were a last minute goal and if all of those dont happen they end up with -16 points and get relegated to the vanarama north"

I bought EA FC but just played it a few times. Since Fifa 18 the gameplay constantly got worse, but EA FC is so awful.

I have nothing to say. They were called "Vizekusen" for a reason ("Vize" meaning runner-up), for all those years. The first time they ever won any title at all they might win a triple. I'm just stunned.

Imagine if they stay unbeaten this + next season and winning the champions league.

"Just the Europa League" is always a dumb thing to say. It's still an very hard competition. This year non group thirds from the champions league even made it to the semis (only 2 in the quarters). Also liverpool who are also in the title race for the premier league are already out. And if thats not enough we are talking about winning it without even losing 1 game. Every often one team may lose a game in groups due to rotations or just slumping it, or in knockouts they lose one and win on aggregate, but Leverkusen never lost. Its just insane.

If you wonder why we struggeled so much with Quarabag, It's because they were actually really good in these games.

The goals were always a product of dominance. The games could have been decided by Leverkusen long beforehand.

In Brazil, Palmeiras have a similar situation as the other teams suporters call their manager, Abel Ferreira, to be possesed and doing rituals for late game goals and comebacks. The team had a comeback against the league leader Botafogo, after losing first half 3X0 and ending 3x4 and was crowed champion later that year. The team slipped away from lots of other bad results with late game goals and heroic comebacks since Abel arrived in Palmeiras 4 years ago. Bayern and Dortmund somehow make Leverkusen unbeaten run even more impressive by being Champions' League semifinalists (so far). If they keep going until the end, they would stay as one of the best team all time. Maybe not the best technically, but clearly the most epic. A club known for its failures trained by a young coach, who btw scored the equalizer of the best CL final, wins the Bundesliga for the first time the season Kane arrived at a club which won it 11 times on a row ? Plus all the late equalizer/winnning goal, with the last one scored 2 MINUTES past the added time ? What better story can be written in football ?

I think this is a wake up call for German football, because at the National level, they didnt do well at Fifa World Cup ( 2 - 3 consecutive WC ). With BVB, Bayern Munich doing well in Champions, and with Bayer04 keep braking records, the next WC in North America could be an eye opening.

@@sehu1291 The way you write it, there are choosing now, between World Cup and EuroCup. And that is not the issue, because there are no World Cup Finals now. But as National Teams, any competition is a " training " opportunity for players to get known each other, preparing for the next World Cup. As Regional Competition, like UEFA, they make sure that no overlapping exists at the same time. So there will no be Eurocup and World Cup at the same time.

The only thing bigger than the Euros in your own Country is the World Cup in your own Country which had Germany 2006

The whole thing about the last minute is a bit crummy, and highly probable it's linked to gambling. When Ferguson was managing man u the ref would be looking at him for when to blow the whistle. How they were never caught is a mystery, but not a great one.

If West Ham wasn’t so gung ho in chasing for a winner during the latter stage of their home game, they would have beaten Leverkusen’s unbeaten record. I feel West Ham would be given much more credit for doing so than chasing a lost cause coz their deficit in their away game was too high a mountain to climb.

While what Leverkusen have done is absolutely incredible you also have to consider how weak teams are this season. An aging and dysfunctional Bayern, The top English clubs are on their way out and need to rebuild, Barca and Madrid are also rebuilding... psg are.... psg. The top teams being relatively poor this season has created some absolutely amazing football, such a great season.

Has a very big impact on how the 2nd row of ones lineup feels! 3rd ---- yeah its just this. FEELING. Only 11 pls 4 subs can play in one match. BUT you do need every single one player you have. So every Match HALF of your Team, cant even sit on the bench! --- Social Engeneering ! which is absolutly quite easy when you see only Leverkusen ---> but PSG is the best example of BAD in this corner. 4th All you do, can be eaten by injuries of you core lineup. Alonso never had this issue on any Fieldposition , as --> see 3rd EVERYONE is part of the core. Leverkusen had - I think 4 or 5 - young inexperienced players on their squad , but they never had to use them as full inserts . Injury wise, it was a nearly flawless season. Conclusion --- Xabi Alonso showed us all --- how important the Trainer is for his Players. You dont have a 24+Player Rooster for Jokes. YOU as the Trainer are measured of HOW YOU IMPROVE AND USE EVERY SINGLE PLAYER YOU HAVE AT YOUR DISPOSAL. This is a Masterclass --- to win 2 more trophies will not supside it in any way.
