With the exception of mine being red it looks identical to the NAPA one I bought for $65 back in the late 80's that still works just fine. Just trying to understand that separate oil hole in the side. I've also had good luck using those sandpaper rolls, for $8 you can't go wrong! So I looked this up on the HF website and read the manual. It says in that oil hole screw in the side to fill to bottom of threads. Guess I'll go do mine, never had that screw out in 30 years! Pretty good video though!

I'm actually in the market for one , I spent three hours sanding by hand my 67 mustang drivers door this past Saturday ,most of the ti.e was spent sanding down the body filler.. love the videos good info.

I bought a number of air tool, both body and mechanical off the SnapOn truck since the early 70’s. Impacts, air ratchets but DA & air file. I figured there was a video on air file or straight line sanding files to perhaps see if I can do something to keep them in working order. But the big thing was SnapOn sold Chicago Pneumatic off the truck as they did not make their own apparently early on. Still have them. Tools boxes are built in “Algona, IA” and no tours. Of course as time went by, the higher powered 3/8” air ratchets jumped into one of my boxes (Got 4), but still using the original stuff, as long as my youngest son doesn’t burn them up because I can get him to oil them. I find it funny the SnapOn bottle tip won’t fit the oil ports or air nipple. A careful minute at the bench grinder fixed that. I will admit I am not a Ford guy but just like to learn. Independent shops in the 80’s taught me that me that 10 year old Ford 396 push rods went sideways and wore guides bad. Torch required on all exhaust bolts before looking at them. And to do a TC&G took every socket & wrench from 3 drawers due to different size. I won’t go into bolt length, crazy. Had a tailpipe smoker and rebuilt the carb & more, done? Test drive 4-5 blocks w/oil & filter and pulled to park, just as oil light came on. No leaks as I freaked. Inside, pulled rocker cover and 1+ quart oil soaked my boots & floor. Valve seals cracked, plugged drain-back holes so done let run to burn oil off. An hour was good as I kept an eye on it working next to it. Figured good to go, put in reverse and got 12 feet, died and won’t fire up. The “Dura Spark II” Box was dead. Wow. Try explaining that to a customer on day two! Thought I was subscribed, I am now. Perhaps other channel if I heard correctly. I have SnapOn tool that some truck drivers have never seen. Does that make me old? Or chrome tach/dwell meter next to 9 distributor wrenches. I’m old. And long winded too! Thanks, good tool. Stepping up their game!

Doesn't look like your normal Harbor Freight tool, I'll have to check that out next time I'm in there as my 65 goes into media blast in less than a couple weeks. That'll come in handy taking the bulk of body fillers off rather than hand sanding them. Thanks for the video ! 👍

Nicely done! Is it still holding up well after a year and a half? Looks like a nice tool for a hundred clams. One quick note, if you don't mind. Saw at the 9:37 mark you sort of "dry-fired" the sander, and that can actually be kind of tough on the bearings; they "prefer" having some resistance. Cheers!

Bearings? Even in the owners manual they say to run it right after oiling. I always run them to blow the excess oil out into the air or on the floor rather than onto the car I'm sanding.

So it looks like you have had this sander for 2 years. How is it holding up? Does it make your hands numb? Does it use excessive of air? What would you change about it?
