Luke fox is one of my favorite bat family members so happy to see this video on him. He is definitely criminally underrated. I would also like to see a video on Tim fox Luke’s half brother who is Batman in New York.

I read all his stories. Next Batman: future state, second son, and the I am Batman solo ongoing series, so let me tell you that while Tim Fox is a fine hero, he's not exactly a good fit as Batman. Being Batman requires a character who is incredibly exceptional and can be greater than average men to fight against more powerful foes. Jace is not presented like the other in the Bat-family where he can handle anything other than a common thug. He's a decent fighter, but in no way a great one. Tim is shown to be smart but not a genius to make equal OG Batman nor even Batwing in intelligence. Luck is literally how he is able to survive most encounters with the magistrate, and Sinestro, his only real encounter with a villain, is laughable as the villain literally gives him a yellow ring to fight him. Real evolution is needed for this guy to become a great Batman, and right now, there isn't a reason to like him besides being a niche Batman whose brother is Batwing and father is Lucius Fox.

He was never in BTAS. Batwing aka Lucas Fox, only has one appearance out of the comics in the animated movie "Batman Bad Blood".

In another comic, Luke Fox's brother, Tim Fox is Batman.

He's relatively new, but there are still few things to highlight: He doesn't use batarangs and the other tech Batman uses. Perfers a bulletproof bat suit to be go head on against enemies, making him more like a srapper and brawler. Jace Fox Batman is more of an activist. Goes back to year one roots and fights corruptions of the justice system rather than fighting a colorful rogue gallery. He wears a face mask to prevent damage on the face to add to that brawler style. Making him a tank on the field. He's got a contentious relationship with Batwing and is seen as a black sheep of the Fox Family. His crime-fighting is heavily inspired by the gorilla war tactics, fighting in jungles and urban areas. Contrast that to Bruce, who is globetrottering vigilante who trained with skilled professionals and Kate Kane Batwoman, who uses her military experience to fight like a soldier.

Batwing's suit can probably be considered the prototype for Terry's Bat suit if DC wanted to bring a storyline correlation for an intricate future plot. Terry's suit being the futuristic version of course. I hope WB will finally pull off a cohesive plot to the franchise that writers pay good tribute to the DC Universe and fans. As happy as I am to see Keaton return, it seems DC'S saving grace was to follow the idea of Marvel's Time Traveling plot, but at the same time... not opposed to it. Live action versions are cool in idea, but messy in terms of writing. Love DC.

There were actually people at DC who wanted Luke to be the second Batman as he provided a familiar gimmick to Terry Mcginnis to be like Batman beyond but in Future state. It changed, however, when writer John Ridley decided to bring back an obscure Fox character and made him the second Batman to align with the writer's more social justice views.

I like Batwing and all but I think they could do a better name becuse you know if your talking about him they might think your talking about the helicopter BatWing

I love Luke Fox so much. What doesn't get appreciated is how this character emulates Bruce Wayne(rich, genius, businessman, who is a playboy bachelor with a family that has strong ties to Gotham). The only difference between them is how he doesn't have that trauma from losing someone to inspire his heroism. Luke's family connection to Batman informs his choice to be a hero. The Batwing book literally describes his heroism as a second nature. Not as skilled as a fighter compared to others in the Bat-family. Luke makes up for it by fighting smarter than most people, where he shouldn't be underestimated as a strategist. He fought Grifter without his suit and won.

I like the first Batwing more. The former child soldier who became the Batman of Africa. It's cool that Lucas is a Soldier and MMA fighter, but his personality is so boring those other qualities feel wasted.

Dawg if you don't remember bruce said himself that Tim Drake was more intelligent and may even be a better detective. However ofc that doesn't mean he's more equipped to be a leader than batman.

Batwing, aka Proto Beyond. I loved this character until he was neutered by the CW and dropped from the main bat family. So wrong.

​@Adam Watson Bruce is a genius in practical ways. Applied science is what he excels at, and people confuse that with a genius level intellect in everything. But to be clear, while Batman is above average in most things, he ain't as smart as Barbara Gordon in hacking, Tim Drake as a detective, Luke and Lucius Fox in creating and designing tech.
