Bro the batwals who migrated to Jammu and Rajasthan got land and many other benefits from government but the ones in Punjab got nothing except sc category . We’ve got nothing our people are degrading day by day because of conversions and Christian’s population rise.

My grandfather told me that we’ve accepted SC quota bcoz of unemployment and lack of constitutional knowledge at the time of partition. While partition most of Batwals migrated from Pakistan. They’ve also told me that many of us were jagirdars and business owners but due to massive killings and rapes in Pakistan, everyone ran with their families carrying important survival stuff leaving their businesses, farms and properties there. When they’ve reached India, many people started doing local works like labour work, driver and many small jobs. To feed family at that point was very difficult.Hence, they’ve adopted Sc category bcoz it was very beneficial for financially weak migrants from Pakistan. Sc category got reservations, many free things and education policies. This is valid for that situation.
