Battling The Cold: Is Winter Here Already? Ep 31 | How To Close Stone Gaps

In this episode, titled 'How To Close Stone Gaps' I'm dealing with the spaces that need to be closed between the stones of my cabin. The cold is starting to make itself felt, and every degree of temperature gained is very important. The process is lengthy and tiring, but living off-grid also means this. Is Winter Already Here? Never give up!

    Looking at your wood store i think you need to do a lot of wood gathering or you could be very cold in the winter months. Stay safe and warm. Also a thick blanket pinned across the top and down one side will help keep down drafts.

    You are very lucky to have such a good wife who is helping you with your dream and I love her hair colour. I used to colour my hair that colour before I went gray. I agree with the person who said to add a thick blanket to your ceiling below the plastic will make the space a lot warmer. Great video. 27:11

    Thank you, she made me choose the color of her hair (I'm proud of this lol"). She is simply fantastic, it's my dream but it's also hers. She said: you have more capacity, you have to go and in We'll do it somehow. She represents an angel to me, I will be eternally grateful to her. She stays away from home for many hours to work, and I leave from here to come back to give her a hand like she does with me. I'll tidy up the whole house for her, food shopping. He deserves this and more

    Unfortunately, 95% of the municipalities in Italy are at risk from hydrogeological issues. We come from years of neglect; we have built where we shouldn't have. Let's say this is one of Italy's major problems, and I say this as an Italian. We should have been more forward-thinking.

    Hola Alex, gracias por tus videos. Los disfruto muchísimo. Me dan mucho ánimo ......

Merci encore!

    Hi Alex, you made a lot of progress again! I hope you get the cabin as ready as you need to be able to sleep there the coming winter! Do you have a lot of firewood ready, or is that going to be challenging, because your storage wasn't exactly full?

  • @mywildlifeitalia

    @mywildlifeitalia

    Hello! It will be a challenge because firewood is still scarce. Every sunny moment is good for gathering firewood. We'll see how much I'll be able to stay here this winter. Cold can be fought, but the problem will be the snow. Unfortunately, I can't afford a snowmobile, so... we'll see how "Wild" this winter will be 😅💪
