Tough game but I could not put it down until I did, eventually got miffed with the lack of save points, the game also helped build hype for the coming remake which was just the best remake I have ever seen. Loved the updated viper from the original show, much slicker. Im inclined to agree with your rating, nice review.

Yes it was a brilliant remake but the ending could of been a bit better I thought but oh well still one of the best Sci-Fi shows i've ever watched . Thank you very much for watching it's a fun game but yep the lack of saves is a pain.

It was great to hear the old school Cylons but they had some really bad dialogue. The Cylons of the original series were generally laconic and to the point. Still loved this game

This was an interesting review, I´ve never heard of the game. It sounds like it´s pretty well made, and having a focus on space battles sounds pretty logical for a space battle game. I´ve never seen the show though. I like the aesthetics of what you show us, but it does sound like the controls would be too demanding for my taste, I prefer them more arcade like.

Björn Härgestam the controls are easy to use but some of the levels do get tricky and to make like easy you have to start issuing orders out to your wingman etc The problem is in the heat of battle your just trying to kill targets and you don't have time to think, can get overwhelming If you can pick it up cheap it is worth a play pal 👍👍

The game is tough but fair for the first few missions, but I could never beat a level midway through the game where you pilot a cylon raider and need to fly formation for several minutes with the cylons, but if you divert from you're very precise path for more than 5 seconds the cylons will blow you away and it's level reset.

Your absolutely right the game draws you in then it starts to get so difficult I can remember doing level after level again and again to get past I've also never completed this game. Maybe one day lol Thanks for watching

I've been there, I never got past that level when I played it on Xbox back in the day, I borrowed it from a mate who found the game too hard and it was but I got a lot further with it thanks to a well written txt walkthrough. Until that Cylon raider level...the game is seductively pulling me back in though, after finishing Chorus...I do love space shooters!

The game story was pretty much nothing and the levels were designed to get you stuck so long with replays you didn't notice how short and lacking the story actually was. It played much better on the X-Box 360 with a few minor graphical glitches, like the viper exhaust being solid black.

Only just picked this game up. Is it just me, or is there absolutely no training before finding yourself in a viper fighting cylons. Talk about sending the raw nuggets out to get shot.

@@bettyhordeclinic6147 I will get back into this game, was just surprised that there was no orientation like Dropship, United Peace Force. Colony wars on my PS1 had a tutorial, something similar would have been handy. (heck, even FA18 interceptor on my amiga had training levels 🤣).

I like this but I find the story odd. The war lasted a millennium so Adama being around when the war begins makes no sense. Also Adama's father was the commander of the a Galactica before Adama but Galactica wasn't commissioned until midway through the war (I don't remember the exact length of time given but I believe the final episode of the original series states she was commissioned four or five centuries before the series so she definitely was not around when the war started) so how could he have died at the beginning of the war? Not to mention that I could swear one of the novelizations mentions Adama's father offering advice to him when transferring command of Galactica to Adama. Plus Galactica wasn't original Adama's first posting (I think it was the Battlestar Cerberus) and I don't remember the game mentioning the future Commander Cain or Apollo's namesake (Adama named his first son as a memorial to a friend who was shot down moments after saving Adama's life) despite them being Adama's best friends from the academy and being assigned to the same squadron after graduating. Edit: And of course in the original series Humanity didn't create the Cylons. Instead the Cylons were created by another race that had vanished and their fate was unknown Edit 2: Oops I guess Cain is in this.

Thats the problem with games sometimes they dont create the storyline in time with what's actually been happening once you reloise this its best to try and forget it all and just enjoy it the best you can. Big fan of the original series and I still have a original Viper model a really good series sometimes wish we could get another reboot but oh well Thanks for watching and hope you did get a little enjoyment out of this one not many Battlestar Galactica games out there

When I played this game my wingmen had a survival rate of basically zero. Can’t anyone go into battle without a babysitter? Instead of “attack”, “defend”, or “flee” how about just “whatever, just don’t die”.

Be amazing if someone did a legit crossover with this and star wars, wing commander etc…

I am a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica new only,did not watch the old episodes. First two seasons are great.this game looks like good one.

Playing in 3rd person view was the most effective way to beat the levels, but it killed the immersion.

This was a problem for games back then they did make some of them just ridiculously hard I do remember playing some levels over and over again to get past them, unlike today were you can just lover the difficulty and carry on LOL Thanks for watching appreciate it

I only got as far as that part in the game and yes this is embarrassing where you had to destroy the shields in the asteroids, I died and got put back to the very start so you can imagine how annoyed a person could have been. I put it down and never went back to it but maybe one day I shall try it again. And your welcome it was a good vid, keep it up.
