You are a life saver.... I just did the first step... no need to delete the dll files and folders and the other directory... infinite scan loop is gone but I have to download 7GB update using my 4mbps internet 😂

Hey buddy I tried some similar steps to fixing the scan and repair taking forever for here and when I deleted some files it was fast but then I try it again takes like longer then it should and not sure if I can fix that

That's good that its working for you now and I'm not sure tbh it may be just a file that got corrupted and is causing issues.

after that part, you're deleting some file extensions for the game (some of them may be corrupt so deleting them all works best because when you "repair" it through battlenet, it will just replace them with non-corrupt ones, it's easier to delete them all rather than pin point the one that's causing the issue) The locations might be different for everyone though .(hopefully) it's there when you go into the Battle Net options (cogwheel) and hit "show in Folder" option. It will open up the files, and hopefully you see them there ( for me they were listed in a "Beta" folder, idk why) Hopefully yours looks like the picture at 1:14 ( cuz its an easy explanation) but if it does then you will delete all the files/folders *EXCEPT* for the Data one. If you select them and check the properties setting they should be about 14-20GB worth of data
