"Battlefield: Is the Tide against Ukraine?" Bob Seely, Wasley Clark, Oleksandr Kamyshin

On 24 February 2024, on the second anniversary of Ukraine’s resistance to the full-scale invasion of Russia, Yalta European Strategy (YES) and Victor Pinchuk Foundation held the YES meeting in Kyiv - Two Years - Stay in the Fight.
A group of Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine, including politicians, military and civil activists came together to discuss how to aid Ukrainians' victory in this fight for life, freedom and a rule-based order.
The YES meeting in Kyiv covered the following topics:
- Is the tide against Ukraine?
- Are Ukraine's finances, economy, infrastructure and social systems sustainable?
- Will the US decamp, and who could step in?
- The fight for survival, victory, peace
- The democracy, corruption and unity
- Is it impossible to isolate Russia?
- Who is still afraid of NATO?
Victor Pinchuk, Founder, YES, welcomed international guests to the YES meeting ‘Two Years - Stay in the Fight’ in Kyiv and said: ""I really think that very soon we will stop talking about your help, your aid, we will have to talk about sharing responsibility. Here in Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers, Ukrainian people will have to fight and you cannot send your soldiers to be with Ukrainian soldiers. But you can produce weapon not as much as possible, but as much as we need. And you have to send this weapon to Ukraine as quick as we need. And only then we will win.”
The participants of the first panel “Battlefield: Is the Tide against Ukraine?” were:
- Elliot Ackerman, Contributing Writer, The Atlantic;
- Wesley Clark, Chairman, Wesley K. Clark & Associates; NATO Supreme Allied Commander (1997-2000);
- Yehor Firsov, Chief Sergeant - Deputy Commander of the UAV Strike Uni (joined on video);
- Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine;
- Oleksandr Korniyenko, First Deputy Chairman, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;
- Liudmyla Meniuk, war veteran, volunteer, Human rights organization of soldier's mothers 'Malva';
- Rafal Modrzewski, CEO and Co-Founder, ICEYE Ltd;
- Dr. Gundbert Scherf, CEO and Co-Founder, Helsing;
- Bob Seely, Member of Parliament; Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, House of Commons of the UK.
Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006-2014); and former Prime Minister of Sweden Member and YES Board member, moderated the event.

    40:32 Excellent lineup with a variety of perspectives. The officer who appeared remotely was powerful in his frankness. As he and Oleksandra M. have said, if we let things slide without a great effort now, and along with Wesley Clark, if we think a deal with Russia will improve world security, we are short sighted. We need to supply Ukraine consistently because the consequences will only give us bigger battles in the future.

    The Russians not sending 2-3 Kinzhal missiles into this conference room is puzzling. The US would not hesitate a second if they had all their enemies huddled together like this in a war zone. I guess the Russians think of those people as irrelevant.

    I appreciated Wesley Clarks intervention, a former Supreme Allied commander of Nato, a guy who did not get involved in the WMDs BS from the 2000-2008 administration, hence a truthful person.

    But Putin's propaganda and misinformation work hard on his behalf, and some governments are heavily affected by it, most terribly US minority politicians holding up crucial aid to Ukraine, against the will of the majority !!!!
