Scoreboard definitely should've been in on launch. The move to specialists wasn't my favorite as it negated a lot of the reliance on teammates, so this is gonna help teamplay a bunch. Better late than never!

EA 2021 : Players will be okay with 2042. They always come back. EA 2022 : ... Please come back. We add back the stuff that we supposed to in first place.

I was bummed they went away from the traditional BF style. That was the nice thing back in the day when 3 and 4 came out that made it so distinctly different that COD or any other shooter. I wish they wouldn't of fallen in to the COD mentality and flashiness with this one. What they originally created with this series was so unique, fun and different, which in my opinion, made it a lot of fun! Overall, glad to see them head back in that direction.

Did you start with 3 and 4? because I was super bummed when 3 came out because it was soo much like COD compared to BF2. I gave 4 another shot but it wasn´t much better imho and after that it went even further downhill. Haven´t touched a BF game since.

@@c4blew I personally remember starting on Bad Company, but liked 4 the most in terms of gameplay, 3 in terms of setting/aesthetic. They still maintained the Battlefield feel, 1 wasn’t terrible either, but the newer ones are just awful.

The game honestly seems to only be getting better and better, so much so it actually looks fairly fun to play. But I will never purchase, play, or support the game in any way simply because of the quality on launch. These AAA companies should not be taught that they can get away with releasing dogshit so long as they make it 'good enough' a year later. They cannot make a bad game, refuse to respect the people they're selling to, and only appear like they do when it eventually hurts their wallet. And I'm choosing to teach them that with *my* wallet.

This game shouldn't even be called Battlefield, it should be some side series from our friends. Long live BF3.

It’s makes me sad that Battlefront 2 support was canned for this and how much praise companies get for adding the bare minimum or features that should have been in the game from beginning. Plus the extremely drip fed content model is sad compared to what older games would give us every update. 😔

Again, Battlefront 2 was canned due to covid, as was BFV. It wasn't "just for this". 2042 was a factor but Covid was more of a factor than 2042.

Count your blessings on that one. Battlefront 2 would have been the same. I'm guessing you are unaware that the game release bad because of the engine delay and performance issues afterward. The engine was supposed to take 6 months to upgrade and it took over 18 including integrating the engine with 2042 itself. They ran out of time and the shareholders cut their lifeline. They released it better than I thought and they continue to work on it into season 5, so I'm grateful. Did you want that to be battlefront 2?

Wouldnt say its an L, the game really improved and they wanna let people know its no the same garbage it was at launch and it isnt.

The launcher looks like a XM25 CDTE. Was actually fielded in Afghanistan in 2010.

The elevator shaft shenanigans were amazing. What a hit and run that was

we wanted the game be more like bf3 and what we got? laser guns. wow. no destruction, no mouse & keyboard support for consoles in a crossplay game…amazing. they should have called it fortnitefield 2042 as this is in no way a battlefield game.

@Jacob Fullton I like having a 3-4 specialist within a class system. I think it will work. Their gadget could be a normal gadget but instead of choosing the gadget you choose the specialist. Almost the same thing. Lets see how it goes. If we had a solid game at launch with a good campaign mode… people would have bought into the specialist thing. But it was a half baked game. Ive come to like having a soldier with a face and a unique trait. I like the old bf also.

The sheer terror/excitement from Drew and Jamie in some of the CQB scenes makes me so happy. Reminds me of how happy I used to be while gaming. Getting old is a bummer.

The class system is genius. It may have taken over a year, but now Dice has developed an innovative and new system to improve teamwork

im glad drew is getting paid but im not playing this series again until I see a genuine return to the basic of Battlefield

You can also post up with angel and have pretty much unlimited ammo, grenades, and rockets only delayed by resupply timer for crate (if new crate is available before resupply, drop another crate). +You can also quickly swap loadouts for different situations

That zip line thing is kinda cool. Ngl. I’m a huge Battlefield fan but still hesitant on 2042 this update might help

Dice is no different from 343 by this point, they deliver a half baked game for $60 and then tell you that they promise they will make it good in a couple years. Embarrassing, I’m done with Battlefield by this point.

It's fun they are putting the airbrust in the game now. Suggesting that the weapon is based off of is the m29 from the Future Weapons program of the US Army in the 2000s. Which is later scrapped due to the costing of it and the unnecessary need to give every Soldier and automatic air burst grenade launcher. Still fun weapon for it fun fact the xm8 also was developed from the m29. Sad both never made it past the Prototype face or The Limited uses they saw with special forces.

If Dice have done this from the start then they wouldn't be in this debacle. Lol.

i love the old class system and all but fuck me now needing to rely on team mates (in my two weeks of playing so far haven't been resed by my squad or resupplied) i like the old system but that is when team mates use to help you now they all play it like COD spawn in leave your team / squad and run in head first thinking their rambo, Im a sniper so hard to hit people at range wih rubberbanding and all they better add resupplies to the base spawn so i can get ammo accasionally because no one ever drops ammo boxes

The only and main changes I'm only looking forward to is "INDEPENDENT LEANING MECHANICS"

They can pay thousands of youtubers to say "oh, its better now!" but that still wont change its mediocre near future setting

Fantastic video man! Maps we want to pick up 2042 again, it seems like they did a lot of good work to it. It’s looking more like BF4.

A quick tip regarding the Airburst launcher: it automatically sights in the distance based on where your crosshair is when you ADS. This makes using it a bit simpler instead of manually clicking the distance after you scope-in. Anyways, great vid. I've been enjoying this game for a while now and it's only getting better, imo.

Been playing quite a bit of season 3 up until a week or two ago, fundamentally speaking the game has barely changed and there is still not much to keep me playing tbh, maybe the reintroduction of classes will help a tiny bit with balance but clearly the game is flawed to its core design (especially considering it was literally originally going to be a battle royale) but I'm hopeful for bf7 especially with Marcus Lehto ect working on it.

@@jordanmince7613 perfection doesn't exist. i think they clealy understood their mistakes and now are working hard to get back on track. its not that we accept, it's more about forgiving them. just compare release 2042 and up to date 2042, it's just mind blowingly better and playable now. forgiving is a huge power. it can do many things better than bashing and hating. they gave us BF3 and 4 guys. probably 2 of the best games ever created in the history of gaming.

Id prefer a DeepDive style, where you feel like your in the game but actually like asleep while hooked up to a machine (i.e. SAO). ive seen clips of those vr places with omni directional treadmills, and while thats cool, i dont want one in my living room just to play games.

I really want to see this game become good, but its just so hard to do so. I mean of all the games in existance, 2042's launch was possibly the worse, because of the sheer lack of care for the fanbase, and constant ignoring of big features.
