Watching these in 2024 is like watching very accurate historical re-enactments of Battlefield 3 gameplay.

To be fair, compared to the colonel, everyone is a noob. He gives them ammo when he thinks it's for nancies, he kills the megalodon and tells everyone to PTFO, he takes the enemy base when everyone wants to back off. Dude was constantly playing with other noobs.

These were the good days but we probably didn't know that

I remember this back in the heyday when BF3 or even four was coming out. I know what it is like to play with noobs all the time, I was a Halo vet from back in the day, playing Halo for so long and then it died with the MCC, and then the PC port expedited the Worsening D-Day of killing of Halo on Xbox for good. Now, I never once made a Smurf account but I know what they are now, it refers to the cheaters that do that to look like what they called in Fortnite as "Fake Defaults". It is NOT the people that want to just play as if it were day 1 and lvl 1 again, it is the cheaters that Smurfing actually means. The Colonel is just a decent guy though a bucket man, the one that just wants to relive the glory days and just be a REAL leg end to his fellow recruits and newbies. Smurfs are just plane assholes, it does not matter what video game or genera cheating is cheating and people do not like it when the "Sportsmanship" has been messed with, at all. Even if you kick ass, well do so but don't make people hate playing because you are not, you are forcing others to hate people that "play" like that and nobody likes an insufferable "do it all" show offey prik in MP FPS games or otherwise. It ain't mad skillz, that's called harassment and abuse. I remember when you could report people for being far too over aggressive in game play for the Halo games. Now they force you to do that and wonder why nobody plays Halo Infinite. I am left wondering one of the least sweaty game modes and chill times playing is playing Bot Boot Camp, which 343 can't even keep in the game they are constantly removing it and putting it back and then taking it out, like what the hell? I can't even begin to list how many A holes I reported playing the old Halo's for just that, being shit heads. I remember reporting whole teams because the entire enemy team played like it was by prison rules, or my team were just all lone wolves and I WAS THE ONE getting railed by the enemy team for just being a regular team player. Now it's all backwards, encouraged to exploit shabby system and get better results to scale the ranks faster but have zero actual skill. Spend the same time grinding for about nearly two and a half years and basically stay in the same range of ranking but come out with something real to show for it in legitimate learned skill though at the same time have like only so much in armor cores and customization options not having spent anything whatsoever in the shop. Though I did have fun more often than not, but 343's grind is stupid. What they and Microsoft did to Halo was stupid. 343 and MS are stupid. Now Fortnite, was actually a shit ton of fun once I had the hang of it and knew how to combine all the new game mechanics and then learn deal with shit heads by just playing the game. Yeah, I bought skins as well but I was not a hoarder like most people dropping hundreds of thousands. I spent like tens of dollars at most on just getting BP skins, now I just collect them, if I find one that's cool I'll get it from the shop or buy a BP just so I can grind up to it and that's it I won't play anymore. These days I don't even do that I just play zombies, blare music, smoke a good lin and have a whiskey... then I cut loose and show some folks how Zombie Slaying is supposed to look. When an Archangel descends down upon the filth below and lays waste to an ordinarily normal amount of chaos, and then escalates. By using all of your assets and resources. Combine the hover board with the times two speed boost and you can go to S P A C E. Combine the Quadbike with the speed boost and you can do some sick stunts and use those tricks as a means of killing zombies. Things like that keep in mind, using different weapons every so often and switching it up from time to time. Combing weapons and utilities for the most effective battle methods or just a means to get around and the unleash hell once you're there. That Shock hammer is pretty tight, the Ranger shotgun is the best so far, that sideways scythe eliminates the need for healing as well as shields, and that the EMP gun is awesome if NOT used against other players in zombies for "funzies", that is immediate cause for some kind of rebuttal don't do THAT to players no matter how funny it may be because I can promise you your victim is not having fun. You can do tricks normally without speed boost on the hoverboard, also while flipping into the air makes for some good hang time so you can do sniping tricks or just plane shoot from the air, also aiming in the air is normally a HUGE NO NO but your feet are still on the hoverboard so it still counts as legitimate "ground" even if you are doing tricks midair you can still aim and fire a weap while on a hoverboard JUST SO long as you remain on the hoverboad dos this appliy. You come off or eject yourself from it the normal rules will apply again, so you cannot aim in the air which usually means after a jump. I prefer the sniper or the pumpkin launcher when doing hover board trick shots for elimming zombies or shooting objects for practice. These are just some of the things I learned. Now apply that to Halo, with my already veteran Halo knowledge and paired with new age tactics I am more of an online warrior than ever before, since Infinite WAS infact build after Fortnite like most games are as to try to get some of that action and shit only then was I able to accomplish all that I did for Infinite MP since its launch, because Corpos and their greed, they made a hybridized game and some others followed suit. Splitgate, and whatever else is on the chopping block of "Live Service" BS. Splitgate was actually pretty fun, until it was not it died as it lived. Hollow, empty and a cheap imitation of greater and better things though as they described Halo Infinite, the same applies to Splitgate. The core gameplay was there but bogged down by so many unnecessary things, fixes were made but a bandage does nothing and too little too late was most of the case for that game so they pushed the whole microtransaction a bit harder and keeled off what was already slowly dying. The after math was just completely silent games, nobody spoke to each other ever again. Of what was left 55% had mics, that means of the tens of people playing only like a little over half of nobody had mics. So it was a guarantee every, any, and all matches ever again in Splitgate were silent from game chat. Party chat or Discord? Screw that noise, literally. MS saw to that Discord channel thing which completely destroyed my already frazzled trust in social media and also Xbox Microsoft and how they operate. So I gave up on new games, even new free games. Those days are gone, long gone the good old days.

Man its so weird seeing the Machinima logo now knowing what they were doing to people for so long. Guess animations/series like these are the silver lining.

@@hax_venom5180 Machinima basically hired many types of animators to create content, almost like contractors. Only problem was they paid pennies and expected tons of work to be done while reaping all the rewards. They took advantage of lots of creators because KZread was such a new concept when they first started. Some of the Oneyplays guys suffered so it was pretty common.
