If there's anyone who likes to talk about the wars they fought, I have yet to see that.

God I can't help but admire Simo Häyäh, what a legend. I was blown away that he had gotten a total of 542 confirmed kills in only 3-months. That is outstanding. But this was the kicker for me "He preferred iron sights over telescopic sights as to present a smaller target for the enemy (a sniper must raise his head higher when using a telescopic sight), to increase accuracy (a telescopic sight's glass can fog up easily in cold weather), and to aid in concealment (sunlight glare in telescopic sight lenses can reveal a sniper's position). As well as these tactics, he frequently packed dense mounds of snow in front of his position to conceal himself, provide padding for his rifle and reduce the characteristic puff of snow stirred up by the muzzle blast. He was also known to keep snow in his mouth whilst sniping, to prevent steamy breaths giving away his position in the cold air." Like holy shit. This guy had compensated for just about everything imaginable to give himself the upper hand.

Finnish soldiers usually had very good aim. In typical conflict there was about 5 Finns against a big group of russians and and finns created immersion that they had lot more men, staying hidden they took every guy out. For people who say that Finland lost: we had to give away small terrorities but Stalin's and Russia's original plan was to get to Helsinki(capital) in 2 weeks. We kept independence. That's a win for me.

Then a Russian sniper made a lucky shot with an exploding bullet, destroying half of Simo's face. He woke up from his coma a week later, and the Russians made peace as soon as they found out that the White Death could never die.

I honestly prefer HC mode. I tmakes sense to die in 2-3 shots from these guns, it makes sense to die from a body shot on a high powered sniper rifle. I don't mind the insta-death snipers, because if they can spot you, snipe you, and do it all without a mini map/ team spotting, then shit, I deserved to be downed. You gotta be quick, react quick and listen to your ambient surroundings...Why is this not more loved!? :D Besides...6 bullets to kill someone....really?

Actually the snow shoes are not for concealing tracks but to actually move in the snow. Do you know what happens when you walk with boots in knee deep snow? You will sink knee deep into the damn snow and moving forward becomes extremely demanding task and is also extremely slow. When you have snowshoes you can walk on top of the snow, you wont sink in cause snowshoes spreads your weight to larger surface area.

CyberWolf309 Something tells me that you are not too familiar with snow. Its really fun stuff and depending on weather it has different charasteristics to it. For example when its very cold the snow is very powder like and you will sink in large amounts of snow without snowshoes or skis. If temperature goes above 0 degrees (+5 celsius for example) for a day or two and gets cold again (-10c for example) the crust of the snow becomes pretty hard (usual late winter/early spring) and you may be able to walk on top of deep snow. Prolly my favourite kind of snow is little moist snow cause you can mold it nearly anyhow you want - YAY! for snowmen ^_^

I think Hardcore mode is more about immersion/realism than it is about being competitive. I would love to not have crosshairs when hipfiring, mostly because I hardly ever get hipfire kills, so it would be better if I was less confident aiming from the hip. Also, the realistic mag system was the part of Battlefield 4 I was most excited for, unfirtunately it didn't make it into the normal gamemodes.

That actually makes it very tough for people who play normal a lot since we get used to spamming that reload button. I had to get used to that after a few rounds. If this was in the core game I think you would see almost everyone running supports just for the ammo haha.

LevelCapGaming My single favorite thing to do in a first-person shooter is to kill someone with a gun that's not mine. My second favorite thing to do is to collateral a pair on a quad bike with a 870 MCS slug round, but my third thing probably involves being incredibly low on ammo. Just play the Destiny beta and run around with a heavy machinegun. You're always low on ammo, and you never want to reload, so you get into these harrowing situations where every shot counts and it's not just a sprint to the finish. It's things like that that keep me playing video games.

LevelCapGaming a other way is put just a laser sight or even better to see a three beam for hipfire

him not using a scope for the "scope glint" was part of it. but the main part why the white death used iron sights was coz of counter sniping. if you use a scoped rifle you have to elevate your head a lil' bit higher to achieve a crisp sight picture. raising your head higher up means your exposing your head to all them counter snipers trying to get that bounty on his head. iron sights on the other hand, your head is much lower on the comb of the stock of the rifle. in turn giving you much more cover.

This is one of the most badass war stories I've heard of. The best loadout you've done.

DICE still haven't bothered balancing hardcore mode. It really needs to be re-assessed and it just hasn't. The frostbite engine make for a fantastic realistic feel on low health modes but they just don't make the best of it. Simply dropping the health lower than 60% to around 40% actually helps a lot, snipers don't completely dominate since assault rifles suddenly become much better at range when you go a little lower than 60%. I've played a bit on unranked servers set on really low health and it really changes up the way you view weaponry. You're going for which weapons allow you to be accurate at the range you're going for the quickest, rather than the most damage per second which is the dominating factor even in hardcore.

I agree. Hardcore can be fun at times but it does need balancing. I think it would just require so much work to get there. The team has so much other stuff to work it seems with patches still being needed for the game to run well.

LevelCapGaming If the game had a Bleed-Out function at >20% Health (-1% per 2sec), you would have a whole new level to Hardcore Mode. The bleed-out function would be can cancelled by receiving medical aid and would increase the relevance of Combat Medics. I'm seriously asking this do you know any Independent Gaming Companies producing FPS games. I have a 300 page proposal based on the Project Reality concept. I have completed my weapons statics pages for over 60 weapons including bullet drop, muzzle velocity, and recoil patterns. In addition I'm writing a book based on my concepts as a supplemental.

LevelCapGaming Oh yeah, it's far from their most pressing issue at the moment, it just happens to bug me more than a lot of problems because it's essentially been the same issue since BF3's launch. I'm sure at this point we just have to hope they reach it by BF5 or maybe Hardline. I guess with the CTE anything is possible now though.

One time we have made server with 30% health and the gameplay was really awesome. It was HC based rules, so no minimap, reloading full mags, no hitmarker, etc. The gameplay was 5vs5 players (OP Locker), and it was really fun. 7,62 weapons often made one shot kill, 5,56/5,45 was 2 shot kill. The gameplay demanded from players being very causious and held team together. The suppresive fire was eventualy effective (suppresed didnt go out of cover not because blur screen or inacuracy, but there was a real hazard geting killed). Rly recomend to anyone just for fun.

not to be that guy but the way you sound about snipers is like your butt hurt they can actually kill from any range... assault rifles werent made for the range a sniper is so you should expect to die quicker at a long range fight.. but if you are head to head then its a high risk/reward for the sniper, also i have found that accuracy over dps is over rated a pistol can out do a lmg if accurate, but if the PLAYER is a bad shot then expect to lose

The Mosin-Nagant Simo Häyhä used was FINNISH, the Finns bought receivers from the Russians and made their own barrels and stocks companies like Tikka, and Sako and some Swiss companies made them as well. Simo Häyhä used a Finnish M28 (Mosin-Nagant), he had 505 confirmed kills not over 700.

Simo Häyhä used, I think it's called, "Pystykorva". He was a small guy so he had to use smaller weapon than others. I think he (or manufacturer ie. Sako) modified Mosin Nagant with a shorter barrel and stock. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Why not use the .45 USP with the M4

The Russian cowboy loadout. Sv-98 for the winchester or the sks for the old carbine style rifle. Both rifles with flat desert camo No attachments for sks. Use straight pull for sv-98. Unica 6 no attachments (6 shooter) C4 (dynamite) No second gadget Try to have a run and gun play style as you catch those dirty varmint and send them to the great beyond. Try to get a couple kills on the back of a dirt bike (horse) for that wild west feel. Have fun always a fan of your videos.

Use two mins of your time to read this please. The Feared Play as support and Flank around the enmy. Play on Pearl market while on Hardcore. (Best map for close combat in my opinion) This class will get you kills very fast. if you keep the red dot on the enemy you will almost insta kill him. Primary: MTAR With Reflex, Silencer and stubby grip. Secoundary: With Ghostring (optional), Flashlight and Flash hider. Gadget 1: Ammo-box. Gadget 2:Claymore (optional) Granades: Flashbang (optional but it would be nice if you used it. Use a knife that you feel would fit this class. (i use the BJ-2) Field upgrades: Offensive (my opinion) Use a Urban Camo for all weapons (i use Palm Urban) This class is easy to use and works very well for everywone. If youre still reading im very happy. :D -Bu5HunT3r. No im not hunting busses :P

Sniper rifle with iron sights is one of my favorite things to do in BF, because it's the closest I can get to replicating WWII rifling in a modern shooter. Loved seeing it in this week's Loadout episode. =)

He had 505 confirmed kills, with 202 unconfirmed (most probably dead from the cold or just the wound on its own)

One of the best scenes is when Specialist Shawn Nelson Fires his M60 too close to another ranger leaving him slightly death. For a class setup i think you should do the Mark Wahlberg "Shooter" class. Srr-61 with the hunter 20x scope and bipod. The m9 with flashlight and ghost ring. Range finder and c4 Perks are up to you

This guy takes no scoping to a whole new level

The silent ghost class: Recon M40A5 hunter or 8x scope, flash hider or suppressor, bipod Any pistol with a flashlight and suppressor PLD for spotting enemies Tugs for when people try to take you out at close ranges. You could get the advantage Iike this Use the minis and try to play extremely defensive by staying in a hidden spot scouting the map with the PLDs. Use your stealth by ambushing enemies from large distances. Try not to go in spots that snipers usually go in, improving your stealth, also play hard core for even more stealth. I love your content and keep it up LevelCap!

Lets try and serious class that takes a real BF vet to do well with, cmon guys I've been posting this for around the last 10 videos: Covert Ops loadout: Assault Class: M16A4-Acog-Suppresor-Laser/light combo-any grip you want-any adaptive camo you want M9-Ghost Ring-Suppressed-Laser Sight-any adaptive camo Tac Knife Flash Bang M320 HE Launcher Med Pack Perk: Grenadier Play on Rush or Conquest, sneak around the map in a covert ops mission to take out the enemy troops and take the objectives, use your suppressed weapons to stay off the radar, if an enemy is far away, use your Acog scope and the long range capability of the M16A4 to snipe out those far targets, if you are close to an enemy stay hidden and use your tac knife to take them out and save ammo, when you come up to a building or room you think if filled with enemies then use your flash bang to take them out while they are blinded. If you find yourself being overrun then use your M320 HE launcher to take out enemies in bulk, or create new doorways to escape quickly....use this class right, and you'll be a ghost on the battlefield, have fun with this class, and again, another great video, keep it up!!!

I had a glitch on my M240B where I could equip a magnifier x2 with a thermal scope (which had a x2 already on it) and I got to play with a gun that had a x4 sight all together and it would clip and merge the two sights on the gun.

that happened to me with my m40, i put on iron sights and took off 14x zoom but battle log still put on the 14x and kept the ironsights, i dont think that can happen when checking your loadout ingame (also happened with my m98b but with the irnv scope) cool glitch though

Israel Defence Forces. (users: Infantry units and special forces). The Mtar-21 (aka Micro Tavor, X-95) RDS since the MOR sight isnt available. Ergo Grip. Heavy barrel. Secondary : CZ-75 - (this one is very similar to the Israeli Jericho 941) CZ-75 Attachments : Iron sights, Heavy barrel. Run it with the Assault Kit using the Medic bag. I have to say, the Mtar is a great weapon in real life, it was built specificly for urban combat - close quarters so you might wanna use it in TDM and in relatively small maps. the Mtar-21 is now replacing the M4's and the M16's that were in use in the IDF for a very long time, needless to that say they are great weapons. we didn't have the chance to see you using the Mtar-21 in episodes of loadout yet. i'v been watching your channel for a long time now, I love your channel, keep up the decent work, greetings from Israel and may we all get along here in the middle east ASAP. im being drafted to the armored corps of the IDF in 5 days so it might be my last time suggesting this loadout.

Vasily Zaytsev was comparable. But that being said, he only scored half of the kills that Hayha did. Apparently Eastern Europe had a thing for legendary snipers.

Aaron Cross's Sniper Rifle (Bourne legacy) SRR-61 -CL6X -Range Finder -Straight Pull Bolt -No Barrel Cross does not actually use the SRR-61, he uses the Nemesis Arms Vanquish which looks like an SRR-61 but with out the handguard. Cross also uses many side arms throughout the movie only a few are in BF4 though. P226 M9 Glock 18 MP412 Rex (Same attachments for all) -ghost ring -flashlight -muzzle brake Cross uses all but the last gun. The last is used by Dr. Donald.
