BF4 disappointed me with no radio chatter in the menu

eargasm...

On my X360 I stayed in main menu just to hear this theme... still giving me goosebumps. Now I have BF4 on PS4 but it has not the same feeling as this game.

Kinda miss this in Battlefield 4. The music is really similar but without the radio chatter in the background it's just missing something :(

I actually did fell asleep for accident with this when I was playing.

The memories this brings back, spending ages customising my load outs, camouflage and vehicle modifications :) I really do hope they bring back the feel of Bf3 to Bf5. Sadly I never got to play battlefield 4 due to school and college but hope to this summer!

biased opinion is biased, Bf3 was great & BF4 is the grandson of a great game. The Frostbite engine is gorgeous & the guns are so diverse & enjoyable its unreal. You dont feel as indestructible but it makes up for it with gadgets & variety. the game has extreme replay-ability.

I remember just chilling in the menus and talking shit with the boys at 3am on the summer back in 2013

All those Noises are radio chatter that's really muffled and messed up to give you that war speaker fuzz feel and the song behind that that you hear throughout the campaign as well is White Noise to add a dark and grimmy feel to it if you wanna listen to just that look up BF3 OST Interrogating Blackburn

Neo - Todd パンク Well i dont think its white noise at least not without some equalizing :) really interesting composition I don't know feels really like the good old days... this style of sounds is found all over battlefield 3

Hands down the most Revolutionary Battlefield game and my favourite.

anyone else agree that battlefield 3 was better than 4? just my opinion but the campaign was better/more interesting and the multiplayer layout was easier and less fucking complicated.

I think BF3 was the better game, but the BF3 campaign just felt tooo linear, BF4 campaign is not bad considering it's a 6 hour campaign.

***** The thing with Battlefield game campaigns is that they are an action movie first and shooter second, I think BF4 made a better action movie that I could semi-afk through and enjoy it, but the BF3 campaign did feel more immersive for me too. It had way better characters and after reading the book that was written about Dima's story, I liked it even more. The BF4 campaign just felt like a movie to me, a great movie but not a great fps.

***** BF3 Campaign felt more immerse to me because it isn't buggy unlike BF4's, feeling of being a solder and not a mute Squad Leader that has to make its Squad members to talk for him, and also a real life solder life is not open, its linear because you have to obey your higher ranks no matter what. That is why I felt way more immersed.

They took their time with Battlefield 3. Battlefield 4 was rushed.

I used to just stay in the menu and pass out to this! It's the best thing, next to rain to fall asleep to.

Bf and "tactical feel" .... great joke. Literally the only tactical battlefield is the BF Mod Project Reality. The rest is a clusterfuck of brainless circle running, casual, bunnyhopping, uncoordinated, autohealing bullet sponges. Get Squad, Arma3, Insurgency / Insurgency Sandstorm. And you already now get way way better non casual games for less money, instead of waiting years and be dissapointed because it simply wont change.

This music reminds me of all the things of what could happen in a war... It's sounds a world is ending and scary.

Good times listening to this menu ambience while xbox live party chatting with my boys back in the days.

I kinda liked Battlelog. Many people where being frustrated with it but i loved how many Community features it had.

This theme reminds me of something you would hear from 'Black Hawk Down', in the airport hangar where the Rangers and Deltas were holed up at.

when the beta came out the first thing I did with my HD recorder was record for like 10 mins straight the main menu ambiance of this game. I've had it in my itunes and ipod ever since and listen to it in the dark of night or during breaks at work. It currently has a play count of 74 for me lol

@Need4speedkiller This is PC, on PC when you start the Campaign it has a menu, you have to launch it through battle log but you get greeted by this menu.

At 0:32 the background dudes says that first target confirmed and idk what the second guy says

yes but you dont have to open battlefield 3 BEFORE you play multiplayer, you just open the browser and battlelog and look for a server, press join, then look on other sides and do something else while battlelog connects you with the server and starts the game. I like it ^^

@MrSrdaro Yes this is PC. Multiplayer is launched through Battlelog, then single player has its own menu. Kinda stupid, like a last minute decision because it is a bit inconsistent.

Somebody make a modified version of the BF4 menu & add in radio chatter pls. thx.

Start BF3, didn't even move the cursor.. Worth it..

WHen you open a game it redirects you to Battlelog. From there you can choose Campaign or Multiplayer. That's why there isn't an MP button.

Actually this is a recording from console, where the game has a traditional menu rather than Battlelog.

Fuck I miss these ambient themes. Bf4 was the last remaining remnants of a decent battlefield game. The new ones suck ass

....What? I already know, and like that, but my point is that the singleplayer isnt like that. You have to go on Battlelog, launch the campaign from there, then go into the game like the console version and launch it like that. You should just be able to choose which level you wanna play FROM Battlelog, it would be more consistant

easyrider788 I know this command is 4 years old but yeah This is the radio chatter commands u usually hear ingame messed up and equilzed, compiled with rain sounds, I think brown noise and some constant tones as well as parts of the main theme, kinda hard to tell

HellaFlex Yea the chatter you hear in the background is just all blurred out and really fucked up so that it sounds creepy and shit, really cool what they did with the game as well, this kind of stuff was all over the game
