theres no campaign but there is somewhat of a narrative. They are going the route of like overwatch, apex legends, league etc. where there is no single player but there is a woven together "story" of the world, who the soldiers are and how everything is the way it is in 2042, its on their their website, kind of cool imo.

It is literally just that. The reasons for the 2042 setting is to complete the 42 trilogy (1942, 2042, 2142) and to allow for experimental and developmental military tech to be in the game. It’s basically modern

In 2142, the world is apocalyptic and everything's frozen over and/or destroyed. Random natural disasters like the fast forming tornadoes might be a way of showing what happened to make 2142's landscape look the way it did.

Remember in the bfv trailer? It showed Rotterdam and a V1 being launched and then switched to a shot of Devastation (or whatever the destroyed city map was). What if they could actually make something like that happen? Like nukes can be called in or the weather just levels the entire city. So instead of two maps its one with different levels of destruction

I think it's going to add for some cool tactical stuff. Forcing people in the buildings to fight in the sky-scrappers will be cool if they can pull off those mechanics.

Off topic, but it's cool to see the crew at the same table again. I don't know why, but it just solidifies that feeling of normalcy. The game seems like it'll be intense, but I'll wait to see what the gameplay reveal looks like on Sunday. I am a little bummed that there won't be a campaign this time around, though. Edit: Seems like I started a bit of a war. Whoops.

There’s never been a “kill streak unlock” in Battlefield. And no Battleroyale in Battlefield. It doesn’t need battleroyale. Environmental destructions has always been in the latest Battlefield games so my guess is that there will be different weather conditions in Battlefield 2042.

the thins you saw (Rocket launch, Tornado, Ship fallin apart) is called Levolution and it returns from BF 4 and was just lit

Now that I think about it, it would’ve been so much sweeter if the guy driving the ATV slapped a C4 charge on the front before driving.

@@lovanmedia5915 Nah, SONY bought ZIPPER back in 2006 and then shut ZIPPER down a few years after they completed there contracted games and as Zipper made MAG the servers also got shut down in 2014. Now SONY has all that locked away and probably forgotten about as they focus on exclusives and not big online multiplayers. I would love to see EA / DICE get a look at what coding they did to make that all work and if it could be replicated and even expanded on given the PS3 is like a calculator compared to PC's today 😁

Gameplay reveal on my birthday LETS GOOOO!!!

Ima be that guy “This is why you use the radar” The radar waves can’t go through buildings 😐

With what it's bringing to the table IE bullet ballistics for example being able to break your weapon down change out barrels and receivers to fire different rounds for example taking a 5.56 and turn it into 300 black out for different ballistics effects. Along with being able to fully customize your pmc's gear from the boots to the helmet and it's attachments to your plate carrier and how it looks. To being able to put a ballistics face shield on to help protect against rounds is insane. To even making the game more team oriented and harder. By that they put it to where instead of flags it's zones to capture a zone and start to bleed tickets you need to capture all points in a zone. The maps are double of the largest bf map out right now. Vehicles can no longer be one mand meaning positions need to be filled for use then it's also running on a brand new engine that will push new gen consoles to the max. You also have the fact lure and story is woven into the mp then you have the fact it's 64 v 64 now is gonna be hell at realistic game play. Did I forget to mention that you can fully customize your weapons gear attachments like nvgs on helmets n shit oh and random weather dynamics catastrophic events can spawn like cat 6 tornados n shit :D Bf6 went super realistic so

So the dog tags were from melee kills tag yu used to get. Ex. Battlefield 4. They stopped doing that when they introduced BF1 and BFV. So that little clip you saw was basically them saying it’s back.

Dog tags are collectibles in Battlefield. You get them from knifing people or completing achievements.

Exactly, people keep overlooking how simple a weather/environmental effect is. It’s just a natural disaster used to change the dynamic of a match. Nothing having to do with military made tornadoes and especially not a “kill streak” like mentioned in the video.

Such a better idea to have there be controlled environmental hazards that can affect everyone no matter what. Player versus player versus environment.

Confirmed information today about this. 1.Theres a point system in game to use to call in vehicles anywhere on the map, so no killstreaks but scorestreaks? 2. Guns are customisable on the fly in game (think Crysis style pop up hud on weapon) 3. 128 player count (Only for next gen though ps5/Series X/High end PC) 4. Theres A.I bots to populate the modes, you can turn these off/on and play just against bots with your friends and all progression is still earnable. (Easy to farm) 5. Instead of Class based combatants, it's Specialists (Think Black-ops 3) The wingsuit guy is one, and the guy who takes dogtag and also looks at tornado is another. 6. All map content is free and updates except skins which will be micro transactions. However 3 new specialists will be released over the course of Year 1, (there is 3 battle passes during the first year to corespond with the specialists release dates.)

Glad to see dynamic weather and Levelution make it back into the Battlefield franchise. The only thing I don't like is the specialist because it really takes away from the large scope of war. Knowing that I'm running around with 128 players in a game and 20-30 of those players with the exact same player model and name really makes the gameplay feel cheap and less immersive and more like a revamped Fortnite game. I'd like to be a nameless soldier that I can modify (face, skin, camo, gear, etc.) and experience what BF3 and BF4 gave us, but with a more next-gen upgrade.

I hate to tell you but 'factory sealed' could have meant one of the employees took it home, played the game, then brought it back and shrink wrapped it using plastic and a heat gun that was generally kept in the back/stock room. When I was a teenager I worked at one of these kinds of stores one summer and we were allowed to take games home to try them out. We would shrink wrap them so they were sealed again and put them on the store shelves. The justification for doing so (at least at the corporate level) was that you needed to have people on the floor that actually played these games so they could talk to people coming in about it. This was way back in the 90s though.

So, one of the employees might have played the game you bought and forgot or 'forgot' to put your game disc back in the box before shrink wrapping it and putting it back out to sell. Pretty crappy and I never heard of anyone keeping a disc while I was working there.

Oh you know there is going to be so many clips coming from this game. Lets see, 2 people backflip a ATV off a building into a tornado , person on back jumps off into wing suit, person on ATV swaps seat and snipes jet pilot, wing suit person lands in jet, ATV is thrown from tornado and person in jet catches ATV on it's back and they both land safely, EASY! 😁
