4:00 This is a very famous trick from the previous parts (Battlefield 3 and 4). Fans know it very well and even called it "rendezook". In the game it is very hard to do but when it comes out, satisfaction is guaranteed! Fans are thrilled to have this trick featured in the trailer!

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames people got more and more ballsy with it over time and started to use snipers to headshot the enemy pilot or throwing out a brick C4 and detonating it in the air to blow up the enemy jet. couple videos out there of people using friendly explosives to launch tanks in the air which then shoot down a jet. shit like this is what coined the phrase "only in battlefield" and it spawned so many compilations of people doing crazy shit in game

the part where the guy jumps out the plane and rocket launches the other jet is real not in the trailer but people actually do that in previous battlefields like 3 and 4 its hard to pull off but really cool if you do. also this game is Russia vs the U.S. because of oil and to take control of areas to have more power in this game the earth is crumbling down and its on it's last recourses so they're fighting for it.

Something very interesting about battlefield is the map leveling. That means the map changes as the match continues in older battlefields you could take down entire skyscrapers changing the map completely. With the introduction of weather changes like tornados we can expect a much higher level of destruction to the maps.

Make sure to read before you criticize😉 the reason I brought it up is because 1 they’re new to the series and 2 this game will have the most dramatic and map changing destruction of any battlefield so far.

Haha thanks! We tend to let our facial reactions do most of the work. We always watch trailers for first time on camera and when we are invested in a trailer we don’t want to talk through it the whole time and miss something important or amazing 🤩

Ken and Bethany, when I first saw this trailer I didn't even expect to see a trailer so well made by the DICE company. The only problem is that the game will be online only. The scene where the pilot leaves the F35 to hit the enemy with a rocket launcher is possible in the game BATTLEFIELD 3 for the computer, as far as I know.

This is actually battlefield. A huge map with jets, planes, mortars, you can drop a sky scraper on the enemy and they have weather that sometimes affects the map. It’s literally just that hectic.

It’s an incredible feat and the developers paying homage to it made the trailer that much more insane (if that’s possible). The gameplay reveal is on the 13th June. Since this is set slightly in the future and featured shmostin shmynamics robodogs, I kept waiting to see the T.A.L.O.S. suit displayed but 4:58 is the closest they got. Although that looks to be just a bomb collar and a ballistic mask. Of all the scary things in the future: hyper-maneuverable jets, robodogs, swarms of tiny killer drones, the scariest I think is the suit that can hold up all heavy armor around you so the old issue of protection vs maneuverability is out the window, augment your own body movement so you can burst through walls and punch the adversary’s skull in, and most importantly: cut off nerves that register pain, hold up muscles that have failed from damage, and also stop bleeding with auto-tourniquets and medi-gel dispensation. What type of soldiers do you have then? Nothing human, to be sure.

I know this video is a month old but as a Battlefield fan, I’d be interested to see you react to the Battlefield Hardline trailers and videos. The move where the guy shot down the jet on his six by ejecting with the rocket launcher is called a "rendezook". It was named after the first person to pull it off. Rendezook did the move in bf3. It consists of the pilot pitching up, ejecting and then turning 180 while pulling out a rocket launcher. The physics engine of bf3 cause you to travel straight up when ejecting whilst travelling away from the ground. This allowed him to then re-enter the jet.

Not sure. We are going to do the Character trailers first. There are plenty of executions to get to from what we hear so might do multiple vids for that. "you'd better have some good aim" lol How about he has some good insurance :D This was pretty good guys. I know nothing about the franchise and FPS really aren't my thing but this looked kind of fun. I have to guess but I suspect the rocked that was launched was an attempt to destroy that ever it was that was generating the tornado. However, the jet fighter guy, umm, that's just beyond stupid. real life physics wouldn't allow for that and those cockpits are so cramped there would be no rocket launcher. Maybe by 2142 we will have some type of inertia tech. That was just about the only thing that I saw as a negative for me. Great reaction as always, keep on keeping on guys. Cheers

From what others have said that specific move was done in one of their games by a player. It’s called Rendezook from Battlefield 3. We totally agree it’s far fetched in real life, but as far as the game goes it’s an actual move which we thought was pretty cool that they added that. 🥳

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames yup. The game is a huge disappointment. They released it too early unfinished as well as really bad core design that made the game not feel like battlefield. The previous developers left the company years ago so development was huge mess and the time period cut in half. They are still trying to fix it now but 80% of the players around 1million stopped playing it within 3 months. Some even went back to the old battlefield games

Both of you should absolutely play the beta together! New sub here and I'd love to see you guys experience that with the rest of us!

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It is going to be multiplayer only BUT, keep two things in mind! 1. There are going to be A.I/bot troops as well on both sides. 2. They are 128 man lobbies so it's 64v64 usually. It's absolutely okay to get destroyed, as most of us Battlefield peeps have multiple times xD But both of you say.. driving a tank together into the front lines would make for a lot of fun for us viewers to watch you do that for the first time!

And remember guys, always have your wing suit ready for a 🌪 This trailer showed so many classic features from battlefield 3 and 4, the most iconic is the jet pilot that killed the other jet with an rpg. This was like quickscoping or no scoping in call of duty multiplayer, to do something like that requires skills at timing and good aim Do you think we would get an open beta this Sunday?
