I wish I had a PC. Especially during the time this was released. This map is quality. I get so nostalgic when I see graphics like this. I remember gaming back in this era. Even the grass looks cool.

21 years later, I have not stopped playing this game and it's plethora of mods with friends I made on Xfire back in 2002. We frequent 1942 and Vietnam quite often.

I installed the patches for BF1942 but no servers show up when I click update in the server browser. Any idea why that might be?

That is not a tank it's a T28 heavy assault gun/gun motor carriage ment to shoot at german bunkers and fortifications. It was never used in combat. Negativ things about vehicle(complicated logistic and maintanence) far outweigh capabilities of its powerfull 105mm gun. Who knows how effective it would be if it was deployed as we can see from a conflict in Ukraine even modern tanks with better ammo need to fire alot of shoots to destroy fortifications. Add to that a fact that it was a heavy slow vehicle that can easily get stuck in mud and cant cross bridges.
