Probably because its very orientalist depicting lawrence as a hero while he betrayed arabs😂 lawrence was a british spy that worked in the interests of the imperial west -yet the story of the Self is quite heroistic?? Mm but the west writes the story right

This is actually a good point. I was amazed to learn how much of modern technology was actually developed in this period and now we think it's too ahead of time in the game, but it actually isn't. The only difference is that it obviously wasn't that common and/or effective as shown in the game.
The last train mission was quite complicated,thanks for helping us

With all due respect your grandmother was probably nowhere near Zara in the game. As a matter of fact no woman was because the Arab revolt was extremely complicated and took very coordinated efforts by the British to succeed. A depiction of a single woman going into an Ottoman camp busting with weapons is a massive disrespect of actual history.
The second mission is hell for me. I hate being on my own in games. I like fighting with others, and hate stealth.

I liked this game and loved this storyline. Except for one thing. They make it sound like it was all about oil, trying to tie it into the politics of the modern day. Slight problem; oil was not discovered in Arabia until AFTER WWI.
@dogukanyenerel8697
Жыл бұрын
Actually it was 1909 when the British first discovered oil in the middle east. I love how confidently wrong you are.
@TheNotoriousCheeto
Жыл бұрын
@Doğukan Yenerel Respectfully, it appears you misunderstood me. You will notice I said "Arabia." Not "the Middle East." While crude oil WAS discovered in present day Iran in 1908, it was not discovered on the Arabian Peninsula where Lawrence was fighting, and this part of the game is set, until 1938. Well after the war ended.
@dogukanyenerel8697
Жыл бұрын
@@TheNotoriousCheeto Of course it makes sense that the British have thought closer regions might also have oil. And this is essentially why they have broke the Mondros Truce and invaded the Ottomans even after the war. They have fought the Ottomans in regions near Iran like Baghdad and Mosul (Which oil was discovered during the invasion after the truce was broken) too. Although Hijaz isn't as near to Iran as Mosul, fighting in Hijaz was the way to drive the Ottomans out of the Arab Peninsula.
The feminism ruined this part of the game
