Why would I need to think about it, when I know rear steer doesn't help pulling in a straight line, it takes away from you're straight line momentum. You think about it.

dude the rear wheel steering doesnt mean shit, its all about power and traction, and chevy beats dodge by a duramax

All of these people complaining about the rear steering on the Chevy....He was allowed to use it so who cares. Its like like complaining because a taller basketball player kept blocking a shorter players shots or complaining because one of the trucks had more torque. I enjoyed watching it either way.

Good pulls very intense

As slow as that was that was really intense. Hard to get power to the ground for both in that slop. But the dmax with the rear wheel steer.. that's the setup right there!

They BOTH put up a good fight w or w/o extra's!! Even if that Dodge had twin steering they both would have been even! Great vid

+Lucas Carter Yes the brakes are used on the Input Shaft axle because they can brake the wheels affordably the downside is that if you lose traction on one wheel you aint stopping for hell with an open diff.. This works better with lockers ala Rock Racers or Formula Off Road.

Duramax are flat out junk. We got them in all the time with blown head gaskets with less than 60k miles. U don't see them getting 100s of thousands of miles on them. Driving a Chevy with a duramax is like dating a fat girl. It's cool until someone sees u with it.

Had nothing to do with the engines or the Chevy/Dodge badge slapped on the body.... It's all about the drivetrain, traction and the driver! I respect all makes and models, a badass truck is a bad ass truck!

The Dodge has great tires but he is only running on the center section 6'-8' wide, deflate a little and use the whole tire.

If that Dodge would have air down those tires a bit, he would have beat every truck there with no problem.. When you see the outside tread is not touching the ground, then you know you are not getting full traction..

That isn't a duramax, it's an Isuzu :)

Lol the dodge didn't loose the chevy did. The chevy had to cheat and use rear steering and brake checking. Not more power or endurance. The dodge had to use more fuel and also overheated to pull a "parked" truck with the wheels crabbed. Complete non-sense. Cummins>Powerstroke anyday.

Do the tug-of-war on soft dirt not a slippery surface. Kinda sucks

chivy has rear steer and a izuzu motor stock. Cummins always wins if you watch tractor pulls you will see Cummins holds the most record's.

What year is that chevy 98 or 01 What year is that dodge 04 06 or newer Chevy rules everywhere

+harry guy no it had nothing to do with the engine the radiator hose blew I was just one of those things that happen to all brands and or motors ect. Besides duramax sucks I have had a 2013 and a 2014 Chevy duramax in my trucks and they both blew when pulling a trailer on the other hand my 2001 ford is still running stronger than ever with over 325k miles
