If the fighters stay on the fence for more than an X amount of time, they should be pulled off and removed to the middle of the arena. It's kind of cheap when they get to rest on the fence and it becomes a hugging war.... Other than that, very entertaining and enjoyable.

have you ever seen 2 swordmasters duel with zweihanders? these competitions seem to lack skill, possible because of tighter formations so a more open field and discouragment for being in large, tight groups would make this better.also remove the fence, draw a lign and whoever steps over it (isn't pushed over) is out

I think they should outlaw the hanging onto or hooking one's arm on the rails. It's not fair to the person grappling with someone hanging onto the fence. Then why not have everyone run to the rails and just hang onto it and wait? The ref or official should push their arm immediately off the rail when it happens. Or, make a fence that is taller. in fact I think the injury was caused by being hooked onto the fence, having someone yanking down your head or arm with resistance by being hooked in, could pull ligaments and maybe tear muscles if you're not careful or refuse to let go.

If you lose your weapon in any way during combat you are not allowed to pick it up or one from a fallen teammate /enemy. You are allowed to use any secondary weapon you are carrying or to get a secondary weapon from a teammate. Also, you are allowed to go back to the side of the list that a non-combatant member of your team has spare weapons for you to use if yours is lost.
