It's cool that you are playing skirmishes! Ever since they were introduced in the Talvisota DLC, they've become one of my favourite things to do in GoH especially with the different doctrines determining your unit call ins and different difficulty determining enemy placements etc. They can be pretty brutal and longwinded though. You really need to build up defences on the points you take because their counterattacks can be insane! I played this one with my brother who is newish to GOH on Hardcore difficulty and by the last couple points it was getting pretty tedious after playing for like 3 hours :D

Great tip for people trying to do the Skirmish missions. The AI won't counter attack untill you cap a point Use the defensive doctrine to get acces to artillery and knock out hardpoints from range. Then, sneak past and capture the airstrike point first. Then just bomb the dangerous arty in the back of the map, and other dangerous points. (The planes will also do cool gunruns leading up to them bombing their targets, so enjoy the hail of .50s from the P-47s) After clearing out most of the map, sneak units too the end, set up killzones to kill new reinforcements (After capturing the first points, the enemy spawns infantry and very light armor) Then just capture all remaining zones at the same time Skirmish missions are the worst missions in the game. They are slow, grindy, and german tanks are really good at killing shermans, and bazookas are kinda mid at dealing with the heavier german tanks.

Thanks! I haven't changed the settings, so not sure why it isn't there. Google hasn't helped. lol. I guess the game just wants me to suffer. @@theShermanator
