So the Toyota ditches the V8 for a turbo six and then proceeds to get way worse gas mileage than a V8. 🤯

There are some trade-offs, now the Sequoia is actually decently quick and is tunable because of the turbo.

Actually, according to the EPA, it gets 22 mpg combined, which is much better than the old V8. And I don't care what Sam got. I'd trust the EPA and manufacturer's testing more. All of my vehicles have gotten very similar to the EPA ratings.

@@ytsux9259 I trust real world figures. All my vehicles have been different from epa numbers. Hell my Durango SRT got 19 mpg regularly and that was a performance suv. Don’t get me wrong I’d pick the Toyota out of the 3 here. I just don’t like the spin that losing the V8 for a turbo 6 is more fuel efficient.

Turbo’s compressed power can wear out overtime. Currently 850,000 Toyota tundra and sequoias are being recalled due to a part failure in the engine. So yeah as I quoted earlier great power and great responsibilities. By increasing the power the reliability of brand such as toyota has declined since 2 years. They are not able to maintain reliability in the Land Cruiser and LX600 in the middle east too. The TTV6 engines seem to have a flaw in which Toyota themselves don’t know. I remember one time i was just driveing home from work. I live in a very hectic city lots of traffic and people who dont know how to drive. I was in a 4 door sedan an old xg350L. Hyundais first attempt at a luxury sports sedan. I was at a light. There was this big cadillac SUV who would not stop honking at me like crazy. Long story short he is upside down on the side of the road and im just trying to get as much distance from him because he tried to pull a gun and chase me.

According to an engine spec sheet.. the 5.0l v8 engine comes with a 493hp and a 518 hp supercharged options... then a 3.0l inline 6 turbocharged engine... 3 engine power options... it didn't say the engine is turbocharged and supercharged combined in a single engine... but I'm subject to updates... let me know

Vehicles get more expensive due to technology used in them I'm sure a base model of any car is 15k less than the fully equipped version.. and a v8 charger in 2021 is still the same if it's a regular v8 in 2024 ..also depends on the state I've seen a new 2023 v6 dodge challenger foe 23000 ..woth 7500 rebate..
