Most of these soldiers volunteered to go to Gallipoli because they thought they were going to destroying the enemy quickly and then have plenty of fun. RIP

@@alittlebitofhistory it's really a tragicomic situation. He's a church silly but nothing happened in his comfortable chair. Those who died were the Ottomans who protected their homeland and the English and Anzacs who were forcibly sent to Gallipoli.

@@senisevmek1993 As much as there is blame to be laid on him, I do think that Churchill is a bit to unjustly vilified for Gallipoli, Yes that invasion was his idea but he wasn't in charge of the ground forces during the campaign he just suggested the idea. Also after the failure he had help course he realised he was out of touch with this new form of warfare and went to serve on the western front for a few months to try and understand (personally I think he was hoping for a hero's death to wipe away the shame of Gallipoli.) Sadly and as horrible it is to say it 1915 was the year of learning how to fight a total war and Britain and its Allies learnt some very hard lessons all over the world. against the Ottomans they learnt no to underestimate an enemy especially one fighting on home ground.

yea bfv took it way too far with the one man army bullshit. 80% of it is on your own vs large amounts of enemies. It’s so obvious to make the war stories co-op, it instantly makes them more fun and make sense. Instead we got the most half arsed uninspired co-op in BF history.

I've always had so many issues with this mission 1) why are they in Blue, the Australian Imperial Force Uniform was Khaki 2) Australia didn't have conscription for overseas service, we only had it for home defence, in fact the two reinforcement referendums were solely because of this. 3) I know its nitpicking because its further along the game than the year, but Australian's didn't use shotguns, or Bren Guns, or MG08's 4) slouch hats weren't worn in the field bloused, in fact at Gallipoli most AIF members where wearing British Trench Caps (a separate Australian identity didn't exist until 1918) Its also annoying the fact that this is supposed to be the 2nd Battle of Krithia, but that isn't Krithia, that castle is at Çannakale

@2:25 Glaring historical inaccuracy. In WW1 and for most of WW2, ALL Australians troops were volunteers. The Australian populace defeated the introduction of conscription in two referendums in WW1. All were volunteers. Many did lie about their age to do what they thought was their patriotic duty, though.
