I like how in these kinds of series, they have no artillery support, mortars etc. Always the CQB with people running into entrenched enemy fire, getting moved down by 50. cals. Im surprised they didn't have a hand to hand combat scene in slow motion.

LOL Da Budget the Budget guess the Director tried to balance the reality of combat vs the entertainment value and of course the production schedule. I am impressed that the creators took modern day weapons to create what this world of the 1960s. The Japanese grunts armed with the late 60s type?? Infantry rifles of the Japanese GSDF but for firing squads and bayonet practice the venerable Ariska rifle. Season 3 mass executions were the WW2 squad machine gun a hotchkiss variant.

​@Edmund Gotama Doesn't make much sense to ramp up a budget just to mock up vehicles for one small scene. It makes more sense to get the regular cars and basic firearms correct for the setting since they are recurring props in each season of the series, but not so much for tanks and armored cars which are shown far less frequently and for far shorter segments Plus, while some instances are admittedly poorly done (like the Centurion), i found things like the American Reich's BRDMs and the IJN's Ka-27 helicopter (in S3) to be perfectly plausible for their setting. The Stryker/LAV was pretty funny to notice but we also only see it once in the entire series, for one head-on shot in a hectic battle scene. I guarantee you nobody who isn't well-versed in military vehicles would consider for a moment that the vehicle in that scene is anachronistic. I didn't even catch it myself on my first viewing

I like to think that the Centurion and BTR aren't because of budget cuts but because the Germans occupied Britain and most of the Soviet Union, the came across prototype blueprints for said designs and made what could be the Panther IV which looks strikingly similar to the Centurion.

Lol probably budget reasons. Do you remember earlier in the series, i believe it was season 1 or maybe 2, Tagomi told Juliana where her sisters body was. And in the pit where all the bodies were please tell me they dont all look like mannequins? I was so mad at that entire scene.

Literally this is the only major battle that takes place this season and lasts so little ... yet impressive

Considering the plot this scene was pretty badass

S1-S3: world building is fantastic, everything is spot on! S4: SS Centurion Mk1, Germans in bright dark uniforms advancing before their armored vehicles, BCR using AK-47s

This scene: Despite the Nazis being stormtroopers and everyone still using ww2 weapons in the 60’s, it was pretty cool! BCR vs Luftwaffe scene: Worst anti-climactic letdown since Game of Thrones cut to dark battle scenes!

I wanted to watch Smith free America from inside the system, maybe have to purge loyalists to the Riech in one final move for control once Smith had full control over the American military. Then became a sort of Lord Protector over America and slowly restored freedom to the land as Smith's America waged war on the Nazis.

It looks like the United States is probably on it's way to becoming the next socialist country that is a lot like China and Cuba with the way the last season unfolded. It was showing Americans embracing the iconic AK47. In other words? I think the US is going to scare that world with making the first H-Bomb instead of an atomic one.

The Japanese were the only thing protecting them from extinction now that they drove them out there is nothing stopping the Reich from hunting them down and sticking them in concentration camps or just outright executions. They can't even go into hiding since they stick out so they ensured their own destruction.

When it's late game CoH 2 and you don't have tanks, but axis have everything unlocked, and you lost all your fuel points, and all 3 CP points.

Most times this happend when the allys spend everyting in a one rush offensive somewher on the flank. Stupid enuth the german players expect ther an strike and all the ally tanks run thru AT Mines and Face the Jagdtiger/Elefun and Panthers. Its a classic one i saw that SO often in COH2 but i know axis OP plz nerv.

Shooting with HMGs on tanks is working, but HMGs against helicopters is not. Yeah, sounds logical.

Yeah, because German infantry would advance against a machine gun with cover or armor. Pretty sure that if the germans were in Denver's, it's all over but the shouting

David Maggiacomo I find that unlikely. Considering there’s a fucking 50 Cal in front of their eyes, along with a tank behind them, I wouldnt think theyd choose Blitz’ing on foot without any cover infront of a Machine Gun, over letting the tanks rush and you finishing off survivors

You'd think people would have noticed that tanks are impervious to submachine bullets? This entire series is hilarious!

@@Excalibur01 The Mil 24 fueslage and cockpit windows are resistant up to .50 (12.7mm) cal and the cockpit titanium tub up to 23mm cal.

@@g13flat The "12.7mm proof" applies only to the cockpit area itself. It probably only applies to cal .50 ball ammo with an RHAe perforation limit of about 23mm, and probably not at ranges under 200m.

I like how the entire defensive position is directly on top of the rail tracks that in itself offers no additional cover or concealment. I also like how there seems to absolutely no defensive positions on the flanks and the entire position can be flanked on the side of the rail track (1:28) using the forest and trains as concealment for the assault. But instead the world conquering Nazis go straight up the tracks with heavy losses. And its only when 2 nazi helicopters appear that the entire defensive position collapses as it has no concealment whatsoever from air attack. Simply amazing.

At least Wolfenstein design their nazi science fiction weapons, equipment and troops so they are unique, and not a cheap copy (or just the same thing) as real weapons in the 60s, and shows Blazko tearing down a nazi army that actually feels like a threat. So it makes Blazko and the resistance look even more badass.

Season „Lets win a war against the 2 biggest nations on this Planet“ Shows a battle scene about a train that lasts 2:30

Looking at the sketches of the production attack helicopter, they were inspired by the design of the Mi-24. I think it would have been more interesting if they had used the design of the Bo 115, a canceled German attack helicopter project based on the Bo 105, to create this fictitious attack vector.

Anything interesting happens in season 2 and 3?

There is so much wrong with this scene I don't even know where to start. From MG's firing on that APC without trying to aim at infantry to how rockets lost all of their concussive force upon impact that would usually have a kill radius of at least 10 feet.

For a supposedly Wehrmatch that conquered on foot Europe...................this is somewhat dissapointing.

It's suppose to be mid 1960's to 1970's. The season where Tagomi travels to a parallel world and retrieves the film Smith uses to avert nuclear first strike was suppose to be synonymous with the cuban missile crisis (1962). The last season where Julia is hiding in a parallel world reveals that the Apollo program was getting sabotaged by the other-world Nazis (1961-1972). The Japanese invasion of China is suppose to be a mirror of the US involvment of Vietnam (~1963-1969) with the Japanese retreat from the Pacific States being a mirror of the US withdrawal from Vietnam (1973).

this is panzer unit 4-2 good effect over, MG nest destroyed and multiple enemy KIA. solid copy 4-2 we are RTB good hunting solid copy we'll take it from here.

Disappointing that they never really showed how the axis won the war. Could have had some good battles on the homefront. Seasons 3 and 4 were made so haphazardly

@@HonkMok yeah like the u.s not building up its military, the great depression was never recovered from, hitler knew all the tactics the red army would use, Japan attacked and INVADED pearl Harbor, then the U.S took it back, but at this point the u.s was fighting japan and german on a two front war, and then the japanese launch a massive invasion of the west coast, and then the germans got the nuke, etc. There was actually a map showing the world in the show of the territories that they the Axis powers couldn't take, and showed the free zones. Yeah some of the things from the book don't really make sense, but its fantasy.

its kind of bad when you can see the 50 cal bullets up close and see they are blanks, takes you out of the drama and reminds that its all an act, which a film or TV show is not supposed to do

Hilarious: love how they need to portray the Americans defending Denver as putting up a decent fight. 1. With the air cover the Reich had they’d have been blown back into the Stone Age. 2. With that high velocity rounds coming out of the tanks everything in front of them would have been torn apart including those sand bags - like paper. And the soldiers where they stood. Even the railroad cars would look like Swiss cheese.

Ah, I see that the Germans finally realized that the allied weapons are superior. Using them must have been harsh blow to their ego though.
