Love all the Rampant games. Well thought out profiles, quick play; armour system - as you mentioned - really neat. The one rule I use in every version is command range bonus for activation. Also a free deployment move at the start of the game helps in some scenarios to get units into the action quickly. The one element I would change is a wider range in point costs to have more room for balancing. As is, some unit and upgrade costs are hard to justify.

All great comments bud ! Im actually planning a campaign for lion rampant and ill be using a slight modification like you said with a cmd range bonus !

I do like this rule set and I enjoy house ruling some or of the stat eg attack and defence values : we use the highest values from the unit for both attack and defence, it makes the game quicker and a little easier to remember

The game has a good base so that youre able to modify things and not break it ! 🙂

Played solo ok just because of lockdown im about to try oathmark and erehwon too but I liked all my games of DR so far think ill check out that campaign system due latter in year for lion rampant

Indeed looking to add a templar force to my medieval collection for that as well as amybe saga crusades
